Grace looked at the letter and then turned to the next page to read it. This time it was the list of books and other things needed. Grace shook her head. It was unbelievable. Her, Grace Potter, a girl who had mostly grown up on the streets, was going to be going to a witch and wizard school, for, well, witches and wizards!

Grace sat down and thought for a minute. Was she sure this wasn't some sort of joke? No...if it was Dumbledore would have seem scared or something about her. She was just about to put her letter away when she realized that there was one more page. This one wasnt written one Hogwarts paper, but on a regular white peice of paper written in emerald green ink.

Dear Miss Potter,

Tomorow a man named Rubeus Hagrid will come for you. He will take you to search for your supplies. Remember: you must not tell anyone. I have asked Hagrid to explain everything to you. There is alot you must know.

Also, do not worry about sending your owl. I am the Headmaster at Hogwarts, so I already know that you will be attending.

Sincerely,

Albus Dumbledore

Headmaster

Grace smiled. This was really happening. She was going to go to school! She promised herself she would do the best she could in her school work, maybe join a sport, and hopefully make some friends. A good easy time at school, no complications; it would be different from her life on the streets. She folded the letters and shoved them into the pockets in her jean shorts and left to go try and find some lunch at a food bank.
