"Hello sir." Grace said. "I hope this does not sound rude, but what are you doing here?"
"Why I needed to speak to you of course." Dumbledore smiled. "Come along with me. It will only take five minutes of your time."
Grace told the girls that she would be back in five minutes, threw on a hoodie, and left the door with Professor Dumbledore. When they got down to the common room, Grace was surprised to see it empty.
"Gryffindor's can sometimes be up quite late, but they all saw me come in and scattered." Professor Dumbledore chuckled.
Grace nodded. "If you don't mind asking, where are we going sir?"
"We are just going for a small walk to my office. We can talk about what we need to there. In thhe meantime, how are you enjoying Gryffindor?"
Grace smiled as they went out the fat lady painting. "Well, the Gryffindor's are all very loud so far, and they seem very competitive. They talk alot, and keep a conversation going, even if it isn't wanted. They are all a little intimidating, but not at the same time." Dumbledore started to look a little worried by now. "And I love it. I love the noise, the talking, the conversations. I love the people and personnalities and the competitiveness. Although, the noise may annoy me when I'm studying, but there is a library for a reason. But I love Gryffindor. Everyone seems very nice."
"That is wonderful." Dumbledore smiled. They walked down a third corridor and stopped at a stone Gargoyle. "Peppermint Patties."
The floor underneath them started moving upwards, and formed a staircase. Grace instinctively reached for the wall at the first movement, but then let go of it once it kept moving.
Finally the Gragoyle stopped moving upwards. It stopped right infront of a thick wooden door. Dumbledore pushed it open to reveal an office. There were three floors. The first one had a few books on shelves, a bright orange bird, the Sorting hat, and a door. There was also a big wooden desk, three chairs (one behind the desk and two infront), and pictures of previous headmasters littered on the wall. The second floor looked like a humungous library. The third floor, Grace could barely see. But there was a trap door on the roof of the library, and the ladder could easily get someone up. Also, the wall above the library was very tall.
Grace walked over to the bright orange bird while Dumbledore sat down. The bird squawk. "It's beutiful." Grace said smiling.
"He is, isn't he? His name is Fawkes." Dumbledore gave a warm smile.
"If I didn't know any better, I would say he's a-"
"Pheonix? Why yes he is. Just reincarnated this week."
Grace sat down across from Dumbledore. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Well, it came across Professor McGonagall's mind that you may not have very many clothes. Is that true?"
"Well....yea I guess so."
"Well it seems as though she has taken a fair liking to you, and was wondering if you would like her to accompany you in searching for some new clothes."
"Okay!" Grace exclaimed. "When does she want to take me? I mean, now that I have money I can get some clothes."
"She wishes to take you tomorow, if that is all right with you."
"Yea, that's fine, but tomorow is our...meeting."
"Yes, she will take you right after diner, and then bring you to my office. Unfortunately you will not have very much time to socialize tomorow, but I was thinking you wouldn't mind, as you have seven years ahead of you at Hogwarts to do just that."
"No, that's perfect. Thank you sir."
"Your welcome. Now, you are free to go back to your room and get some sleep."
"Ok. Goodnight Professor."
"Goodnight Grace." Grace walked out the door and the Gragoyle took her down.
When she got back to her room in the Gryffindor common room, she chatted with the girls for a few minutes, before drifting off to sleep.
