As she set down the last plate, Alice Cooper paused. She could feel it, that another witch had crossed the border from Greendale into Riverdale, and that her power and anger were off the charts - her mere presence giving off such death, and anger, and darkness. To be frank, it scared Alice, even the thought of another witch in town made her blood run cold, but the feeling of familiarity that the aura held, that scared her even more.
That meant she once knew the new witch, or had past connections with her. But the thought of being found out as a cast out witch, or even a witch at all - now that scared her to death.
As soon as Heather stepped across the border of Greendale to Riverdale, she could feel the scared energy of another witch, and the growing dark energy of betrayal. She let her instincts guide her, and she found herself at Sweet Water Lake, watching as a tearful Cheryl Blossom was taken from the lake, her parents at both side. Across from her, stood the stone - like Alice, the empathic looking Hal, as well as the horrified Kay and Ethan June beside a teary eyed Betty, and she knew very well that behind her was the brooding Jughead Jones, examining both the scene, and herself, with a sharp eye.
Alice Cooper said something to Hal, obviously nothing kind, before she stopped cold, seeing the shadow like Heather, and the sinister aura around her, the dark pleasure in her eyes. When Heather smirked at the woman, head tilted like a shark admiring its meal, Alice knew Heather was the sinister witch she had felt hours ago. And even though she looked like the sweet, kind hearted Heather her daughter had once been best friends with, Alice Cooper knew that girl was long, long gone, another girl, with another name replacing her light and plunging her into darkness.
Even as she glared at the Asian girl, she felt scared - scared for her family, and scared for the evil that Heather Cromwell has come to spread.
