Tae pulled the picture out of the frame, folding it neatly and putting it away inside of his shirt's pocket.
He walked up the stairs, turning each doorknob until he found the one that was unlocked. He pushed the door open to reveal an almost completely empty apartment.
Tae stepped inside, gliding his fingers across the furniture as he made his way to the single bedroom. The feeling of nostalgia flushed over his as he entered the room.
The bed was neatly made, but aside from that - there was nothing else there. It was as if Yoongi was trying to erase every memory in this apartment. Tae sat on the bed, he thought back to the journal Yoongi had given him.
He thought about the words he had written, he thought about how much Yoongi meant to him in the past. He then began to think about how much Yoongi still cared for him, and all he did in return was push him away.
Tae laid on the bed, Yoongi's faint scent lingered on the bed as Tae closed his eyes, letting himself imagine what a life with Yoongi would be like if things had worked out in their favor.
As Tae slowly drifted off into a sleep, he remembered fuzzy memories with Yoongi. Late nights cuddling the smaller. Eating ice cream on the couch. Laughing until their sides hurt.
The memories were small, and very vague - but the warm feeling was always there. And that's how Tae knew that he had to go stop Yoongi and make things right again.
Tae jolted up, running from the apartment and into his car. His heart raced as he sped through the roads, whispering a small prayer as he continued to drive.
AUTHORS NOTE: Ah, this story is about to come to an end.
