Chapter 21 ~ Figuring out the truth

Alee ~

I sit with Cal on the couch back at home. He was allowed out of hospital soon after the accident. He looks deep in thought like he is trying to figure something out. "Cal?" I get no reply, I sigh and tap his arm "CAL!", he looks at me "yeah? Sorry, I was just thinking". I laugh "what you thinking about?", "just, erm, just that Luke has been weird recently and the crash and things, I'm starting to suspect something" he looked at me and sighed. I wanted to cry and tell him everything but he has to find out for himself, I wouldn't tell him.

Cal got up then "I'm gonna go and see him". I nod "don't get into any fights or anything" I warn him. Cal smirks and rolls his eyes "I'll behave", "where have I heard that before". Cal just laughed and left the house.

Cal ~

I sat thinking about how weird Luke had been for the past few weeks, Alee was secretive about who our stalker was and I wondered if it was because she didn't want to wreck the band or my friendship. She wanted to protect me, I know she does. I was zoned out when she called my name, I eventually noticed her and talked about what I was thinking.

I got up and announced I was going to Luke's to talk to him. I grabbed my car keys and left.

Once at Luke's I literally forced myself in much to his confusion. Ash was in Luke's lounge, I have a slight nod to him before guiding Luke into a room where we could talk.

Luke looked at me still confused "what's wrong man?", I glared at him "it was you wasn't it? You want to split me and Alee up, you wanted to kill me to get me out the way!" I raise my voice. The look of guilt on his face answers my question "Yes, I want her man. I was prepared to do anything to get her". I scowl at him "why do it?", "I don't know, I love her. I need her but she's yours.."

"You love her? Well hurting her is strange way to win her over" I growl as my fist flies towards his face and collides with it just under his eye. Luke stumbles back surprised at my sudden outburst. I launch for another punch, this one lands in his stomach making him double over and then I kick him in the stomach once he's down "you stay the fuck away from Alee and me! You're nothing to me anymore!" I go to punch him again but I feel Ash's strong arms pulling me back "fucking let go of me Ash. I'll hit you too". Ash chuckles "no you won't because I'll hit you back". He takes me in to the lounge away from Luke who is rubbing his face as he sits on the floor.

Ash sits me down "what happened there?" he asks, very confused. "It's Luke! He's the stalker! He just admitted it! He caused that crash on purpose so he could have Alee to himself. He told me" I yell at him. Ash looks shocked "okay, calm down man. Let's get out of here, okay? Let's go back to yours where we can talk properly. I'll call Michael and tell him to meet us"

So we got in my car and went back to mine...
