The Twins

Chapter 14

 They stop hearing a twig snap under someone's foot behind them, beforehand they wanted to make sure that Ruby's wolf didn't wake up so Alex stayed behind a little making sure the wolf didn't follow them. Alex heard this and ran swiftly but quietly, she saw a different type of spirit animal it looked like a lizard but had blood red eyes.

The lizard didn't hear her sneaking up on him, but the person who had this spirit could see her sneaking up on him. He teleported him back to the castle, where he went back into the mind. The man very disappointed in the lizard and that the twins had started their journey to the kingdom.

Raven then heard Alex mumbling something under her breath as she was walking closer to them. But as Alex got closer the rest could smell something new on her it almost reminded them of home. It smelled like flowers but a hint of gun powder, almost as if the person tried to hide the sent.

"Alex, what happened back there?" Raven asked concerned about her friend.

"There was another spirit animal watching you guys for who knows how long. It was a giant lizard thing, and it had a collar like a pet, I don't know how but its 'owner' could see me before the spirit knew I was there." Alex said as confused as she could ever be.

"Well at least it's gone now, right?" Onyx said worried.

"Yeah, I believe it should be for a while." Alex said.

"Good" the rest said together, laughing after they looked at each other.

When they stopped laughing they noticed it was now sunrise and they needed to pick up the pace. By the time they decided to stop and rest from walking it was around midnight and they were miles away from the tree house. They sent up camp and rested for the night what they didn't know was that they were being watched from the shadows.
