The Twins

Chapter 10

   After a few months they could complete the course with ease, their mom was surprised they could adjust to running in wolf form that quick, it took her almost a year to get used to it. Raven is already good at noticing a barrier and opening it at will, now she is starting to give her wolf, Alex a physical form. Onyx could almost his first try give Blaze a physical form, they both trust each other with their lives believing the other will never abandon them.

   Their mom now was worried about how much time they had left to train, she could slowly feel in the kingdom, a power that was slowly getting stronger the longer they waited. Then she realized that she forgot to cover up the twin's magic, meaning the king knew they were going after him soon. She needed more time to prepare them and their wolves to harm some people.

   Raven and Onyx were so happy to finally be able to run the course without getting winded or tripping over some roots. They ran the course a few more times with their wolves this time right behind them until Blaze and Alex perked their ears up and howled telling the twins to stop dead in their tracks. To see a wild wolf smaller than Alex and Blaze but still a threat to Onyx and Raven in human form.

   After it growled for a minute it walked away heading towards some pups in the trees. It was a mom, good thing they didn't get too close to the tree or she would have attacked them so quick the wolves wouldn't make it in time. Ruby heard the howl and ran over in wolf form as quick as she could to see what the warning was about. When she saw them, they were as still as they could be staring at a wolf that didn't look like one from around here.

   When she got closer she recognized it she was the one who taught her how to run in the woods with ease. She ran up to her not stopping and jumped on her like her kids do to her. Raven was stunned, Onyx couldn't believe that their mom was friends with the wolf. Alex and Blaze went back, and the twins transformed so they could understand what they were saying.

   "I can't believe your back after all this time, and you have pups now?" Ruby said with a playful, caring voice.

   "But of course, I wanted to see how my best student was doing after all these years. But instead I see 4 odd figures with a similar sent as you have." Said the teacher.

   "Oh yes, those are my children and their wolves, they were running the course you made me."

   Teacher then turned her head back to see the Twins in wolf form quietly listening to the conversation. They turned their heads to the little pups slowly coming out from behind the tree to see them. Raven really wanted to walk over to them, but Alex yelled at her not to, and to let them come over to her. It sounded like she has done that before, which made her curious as to how Alex knew about babies. She remembered that they had lives before they became spirit animals.

   She could have had kids before she was a wolf spirit, she could have been like her with 3 separate forms, human, half wolf and full wolf and it wasn't any ordinary wolf the one she can turn into is now the size of a full ground man when she's on her back legs. Who knows maybe she was related to Alex in some way, maybe that how they get along so well.
