The Twins

Chapter 2

   Gram and Gramps now on the couch explaining their promise they made to their daughter so long ago. They explained how people wanted them for their power, and their mother so she could teach you how to use it properly but, she didn't want that for you both, so she left Onyx and Raven here with them. But the last thing she had mentioned as she was leaving was that on their 16th birth day their powers would awaken, and they probably would go through a change any normal person would have thought to be impossible.

   Onyx and Raven were speechless, still trying to figure out as to how they were powerful enough that even the most skilled fighters couldn't beat. Then it hit them, they both just remembered when they were little they were about to go to sleep when they heard scratching outside their window it, was a wolf. They both looked at each other surprised at the fact there was an animal they had never seen outside the house. The wolf had started to walk away looking back at them, like it was asking them to follow it. Out of curiosity they both followed the wolf climbing out of their window to do so.

   When the wolf had stopped they were just before the barrier, they were so close that you could see that it had a tint of color to it, they believe it was a mix of blue and purple. Just as they stopped before the force field Raven got curious and touched the barrier. The wolf tried to stop her but before the wolf could there was an opening for them to get out without touching the barrier.

   Raven said, " Yay! It did what I hoped it would, now you can get out Mr. wolf" she smiled sweetly at the wolf making sure her hand was still where the barrier is to keep it open. Her brother wasn't as surprised as you would expect because they both wanted to see the outside beyond they barrier. They had been practicing in the morning when their Grandparents were still sleeping, although this is the first time one of them had succeeded in making a gap in the barrier. The wolf opened its mouth revealing a pair of necklaces that pieced together making the moon saying, 'I love you to the moon and back'. The wolf gave them each piece saying, "Thank you for showing me how much you both have grown up." and left.

  They both looked at each other than at their grandparents stunned at what they had just remembered from years ago. They never even remembered where they had gotten those necklaces they just thought their Grandparents had went out of the barrier and bought them for them. They told Gram and Gramps what they had just remembered as they were explaining what they had saw Gram had asked one question that came off as a little weird,

   " Do you remember what color her fur was and the tip of her ears?" they thought it was a strange question but they tried to remember what color she was. Onyx had just thought of it,

" Her fur was as dark as the night, if it wasn't for her eyes I don't think we could have even seen her but the tips of her ears were slightly lighter than her fur. Why do you ask Gram?".

   Gram was hesitant to answer so Gramps answered, "We think we may know who that wolf is she definitely sound like it was someone who came and left many years ago, but this means she knew this would happen and she wanted to see you guys one last time." Gramps looked at Gram and they nodded and they both left Raven and Onyx to their thoughts.

   After about an hour of Gram and Gramps running around the house with large bags they came into Ravens and Onyxes room holding out the bags they had been running around with. Handing them the bags they started to explain that they believe that it is about time for them to finally go to look for the rest of their family that had separated so long ago. They both were excited and sad at the same time, they were happy to go out of the house for the first time but sad that they had to leave their house and Gram and Gramps behind to go look for someone they didn't even know or even where they were.

   They were now saying their good byes, Gram looked like she was on the verge of tears, because to her it was like she was seeing her child leave her once again and wasn't going to come back home for a very long time. Gramps wasn't saying anything, so Onyx and Raven grew worried, but Gramps wasn't saying anything because he didn't know what to tell they he was filled with worry and was so happy for them, he was sad because his grandkids he had raised with Gram were finally leaving. So, what he did was he grabbed Grams arm and pulled the twins in and hugged them all saying, "You better come back and see us as soon as you can alright?" both at the same time said, 'we will' and started to head out.
