I showed up to the bus stop with a purple cheek thanks to my bitch of a sister
When I had woke up Sunday my mom asked me what happened and if it was because of Audrey, so I told her what happened. She was disappointed but she doesn't know what to do about Audrey, she had left early Sunday I guess before we woke up cause she wasn't in her room when I checked.
"What the hell happened to you?" Grace walked up to me
"My sister" I roll my eyes
"What for" She asked
"I called her a bitch"
"Wow."
"And I told her that she's practically not apart of the family cause she's always gone" I looked down the street
"Well it's true! She should start acting like a daughter and a sister, you guys have been through so much"
"I think so too but she has a tough wall up." I sighed
"I guess it runs in the family" James says
"Shut up" I chuckle
We all get on the bus, we spend the ride there talking about our weekends and how I could possibly get rid of this bruise.
By the time lunch rolls around I actually get something to eat, I start eating and I look up to see my friends staring at me.
"What?" I said with a mouth full of apple
"Nothing" They say in sync and go back to eating their food
"Has anyone said anything about your bruise?" Steph asked
"My art teacher, she thought my uh dad came back home" I say
"Shit man" Caden says
"Yeah, but she's like my second mom so she knows a lot about my life" They nod
My phone buzzes a bit, I look down to see a message from Alex
'Is it okay if I pick you up from school today?'
'Of course, I just need to be home in time to make Livy some food'
'We can wait for Livy at home and we can all go get some food if you want'
'I like this idea'
'Sounds like a plan then?'
'Definitely, i'll see you later'
'Alright love, see you then'
"What are you smiling at?" James asked
"What do you mean?" I asked confused
"Did Alex text you?" Grace gushes
"And why does that matter" I laugh a bit
"We're just happy for you"
"Thanks guys, but I won't be taking the bus home today so don't miss me too much" I smile and get up to throw away my food
"What, why not?"
"He's picking me up"
"How gentleman like, of him" Steph says making us laugh
The bell rang so we said our goodbyes until we'd see each other at the end of the day
Soon enough the last bell rang, my friends walked with me until I left out the front "Have fun Autumn" Grace gives me a cheeky smile
I saw him waiting outside of his truck leaning against his car door, smiling
