Chapter 13

So recently my mom, Grace, and I have been going Christmas shopping and online shopping.

It gets pretty tiring but I like it. I have Graces' present already, along with my moms and Livys'. But I still don't know what to get Alex.

"Maybe get him a cute jacket or something" Grace said

"Yeah, maybe" I sigh

"What does he like" Grace asked

"I don't know, well I know but it just doesn't make sense for a gift" I say "He likes playing his guitar, and movies, especially Jurassic Park. Uh, he likes the perfume I wear too but I'm not gonna buy him a bottle of my perfume that's just weird" I said

"Well do this, buy him a hoodie or something and spray your perfume on it, buy all the movies, they're really cheap at the bookstore, and get him guitar picks" My mom pitches in

Grace and I looked at her "You're amazing, wow" I said

"A gift genius" Grace said

"I know" My mom flips her hair which makes us laugh a bit

So I went with what my mom had said, the next day Grace and I went to the stores that had the gifts I wanted to pick up. My mom was nice enough to help me out, I had gotten him a yellow hoodie, his movies, and a couple of guitar picks from the music store.

Grace was shopping around for her family and some of our friends. When we got home we wrapped the gifts, I put Alexs' gifts under our tree, I was so excited for Christmas.

We were doing Christmas at my house this year, Grace and her family would be coming over here of course. Some of my family from my moms side is coming, I missed most of my cousins.

The next day:

Alex picked me up after school today, thankfully my mom was home to make sure Livy got home safely. We had gone to the library just to browse, I wanted to see if I can find one more gift for Grace.

"What are you getting Grace from the bookstore?" He asked

"This book she really wants, it just came out I think" I said

Alex opened the door for me, we walked in and I automatically see the book

"Thank god they still have it" I said as I picked one up

"I think my cousin reads that series" Alex said from behind me

"Grace loves it, she always talks about it with me, it sounds pretty good" I smile

We browsed around, I looked at the records and found some that I really wanted but couldn't really buy them.

Alex was on the other side of the vinyl display looking at some, we'd occasionally look up at each other and make one another laugh

I shook my head and quietly laughed as I walked over to the books, Alex was on the other side looking for something

He was being really cute today, he'd grab my hand and hold from the opposite side of the shelf, I had taken a quick picture cause it was just too cute.

We sat for awhile reading some books we were interested in, I put mine back when we were ready to leave. I went to pay and didn't see Alex behind me but eventually he popped out just as I finished paying.

"What were you doing?" I asked

"Just taking note of something" He winks at me

On our way home he brought up that he wanted me to meet his dad, I was kinda of nervous but i'm happy he wants me to meet him. I'd meet him sometime after Christmas or maybe on Christmas i'm not sure.

"It'll be fun, he's a funny guy honestly" He chuckles

"Well it'd love to meet him" I said

When we got to my place we hung out on the couch, I tried to get some homework done since it was almost winter break. Alex would help me but we just ended up falling asleep, my mom had woken us up cause it was getting pretty late. When I walked Alex out I kissed him and told him to be safe on his way home, I thanked him for taking me to the bookstore and for trying to help me study.
