Masyn P.O.V
~
"No Tomas! I will not allow it!" I heard mom shout from behind the office doors. They left one open a little.
"I'm sorry sweetheart but it's already happened. I can smell him all over her, I'm not sure if she..." Dad trailed off. I'm not sure who they were talking about but I had a fair idea, my ears were blazing.
"No! She can't have, I would've picked it up too." Mom sniffed stubbornly.
"Sweetheart, she's almost eighteen. She may do what she pleases, she's a smart girl." Dad murmured.
I may be a human but you didn't need to be a wolf to pick up on what they were saying. I kept my back to the wall and stayed there.
"I know she is, she's special and I don't mean it in a mushy way I mean she really isn't human. I'm not sure but Rain told me that Masy is something else. A being that even Marnie can't pick up on." Mom said, I barely heard her.
What was she on about? I'm perfectly human, nothing else.
I don't think.
"Sorry but you'll just have to suck it up Alpha coz your little girl isn't so little anymore. She had to learn how to be mature at such a young age, at least give her this time to live a little. Let her be a kid for once, she'll make mistakes yes, but she'll learn from them. When she's ready, she'll tell us about the boy, so no pressure okay?" Dad said smoothly.
I heard a light sigh of defeat. "Fine but if she gets hurt I'll-"
"You'll what? Bite me?"
"Don't tempt me Tomas." she giggled.
"And don't worry about her getting hurt, she has a pack of wolves that'll kill anyone who harms her." I could just see the smug grin on dads face. "And don't worry about what she is, we'll figure that out later."
"Masyn?" A deep voice said behind me. I turned to see Lukin standing by the staircase. I snapped my index finger to my lips.
'Shh! I wasn't here!' I scrambled quietly passed him.
"Oh. Uhh Masyn? Are you up here pup?" he continued while I made a dash for it back down.
I lay on the bean bag in the game room watching some show that was all in chinese language. I decided to text Liam.
Me: Hey :)
A minute my phone vibrated.
"Hey."
"Hey Mace, what's up?"
"Uhm nothing, just educating myself on chinese history."
"Huh?"
I giggled. "Nothing, just watching t.v."
I heard him chuckle. "You're weird."
"You like it." I shot back at him.
"True."
"So uhm I was thinking, did you uh-Did you..." My voice was whobbling a little.
"Mace are you okay?" his voice took a worried tone.
I took a deep breath and cleared my throat. "Yeah uhm I was just wondering if you wanted to come over here, like meet my er, family this Friday?"
His response is what I didn't expect.
"Yeah sure Mace, I'd love to." he said easily, his voice gave nothing away.
"Are you sure? You can back out." I tell him seriously.
He burst out laughing while I sit here and feel nervous for him.
"Seriously Masy, I don't mind meeting your family but if you're ready then I'm fine with that babe." he says reassuringly.
I sighed. "Yes I'm sure but I'm-I don't know. I'm nervous."
"It's only Tuesday Mace, don't worry. Unless there's something you're not telling me?"
My stomach tightened.
'Yeah like, ohh you know, my parents are just one of the most powerful dominant wolves in their existance. They're overprotective as hell and have killed people but you know it's no biggie...think you can handle that babe?' I thought to myself.
"Masy? You there?" Liam asked.
"Uh yeah."
"Is there something I should know?" his voice seemed nervous.
"No, no. It's just I have a lot of family and they're, uh, pretty overprotective of me."
"I understand that."
'If only you knew.' I said in my mind.
"Is there anything else? Like is your dad part of the mafia or something like that?"
Close enough.
This made me laugh. "What? No." Another wave of laughter rolled in. "No my father is not part of the mafia."
"Oh! Oh phew, alright!" he faked a sassy girls voice that always made me laugh.
"But there is one thing I guess I should have told you a while back but I guess I forgot. I'll tell you tomorrow, dinner's almost ready."
"Uh okay. See you tomorrow Mace."
"Yeah see yah!" I say and hang up.

After dinner, I called my parents to the office. It felt weird, seeing that I was the one calling them.
Once settled into my seat, I had Morgan come with me since Luci was off with Ronan and Royden was babysitting his niece.
"Okay, I called you here coz I think you guys should know and please for my sake don't get too angry." I plead with them.
Mom already had a look of distaste and disapointment but honestly she was being an egg lately.
Morgan nudged his foot against mine in encouragement.
"I have a boyfriend." I blurted out.
Both eyes of the Alphas bled black in a matter of seconds, in that second I was a little scared.
"And I want you guys to meet him. He's coming over on friday."
Dad was the first to break the hot silence that seemed to burn me.
"Well I guess we had it coming. I'm fine with it, if he's willing to meet us then ups to him Mace." Dad forced a smile, I knew he was trying but mom looked like she wasn't having anything. Dad held her hand and she relaxed.
"What's his name?" Moms strained voice asked.
"Liam."
"Liam?" she pressed.
"Clarke."
"Alright." she got up and left the room.
I looked at dad, his eyes were back to his piercing blue orbs. He gave me a weak smile. "Give her time to process this pup, she'll come around." he kissed my forehead.
God I hope so.
