Masyn P.O.V
~
"Masyn! Masyn!" Morgans alarmed voice had me flying out of bed.
"What?" I looked around the room.
Mom and dad had followed Morgan in to my room.
"Get out." Mom growled, grabbing my towel off the floor and throwing it my way to hide my legs. Dad and Morgan left the room immediately.
Moms face softened. "What's wrong pumpkin?"
I shook my head. "It was just a bad dream." Outside was dark, mom watched me closely.
"What time is it?"
"Just after nine o'clock." she replied.
"I missed school!" I stressed.
"You needed the rest baby." she comes over and wraps an arm around my shoulders and brushed messy and damp-ish hair back from my face.
"How's Morgan doing?"
"Well as you can tell, he's fine." she giggled, I cracked a smile. My stomach growled.
"Just as I thought, come on. Put some pants on." she went to my draws and tossed me some track pants. I slipped them on and walked out hand in hand with mom.
I felt a presence behind me and knew it was Morgan. 'You okay?' he asks.
'Yeah, its was a dream.' I assure him.
'I heard you screaming. It sounded like you were in pain.'
I smiled. 'No need to worry, it was nothing.' I lied through my teeth.
"Your father has you two excused from school for the week. Luci will bring your guys work home." Mom says.
"What? No, it's okay mom I can go. I've already missed most of this week."
"And what about Morgan?"
I rolled my eyes. "He has a mouth of his own."
"Sorry but your dad has already made it final."
I grumble under my breath as we walk into the kitchen only to walk into a hard chest, once through the door.
"Masyn!" Royden yipped. "Where have you been! I haven't seen you for a week and we basically live next door."
I shot a look at mom. 'No one knows what happened.' she told me.
"Ohh you know, I've been around. You are the one that hasn't been around." I frown and pout slightly.
He rolled his eyes and shoved a plate of steak, eggs and chips in my face. "I think you need this more than me."
I eyed the plate greedily and snatched it from his grasp and started stuffing my face. Mom passed a plate to Morgan.
I ended up staying up and wandering around outside in the dark. I had a slight fear of the dark since I was a kid but like all old fears, it was a faint memory. It was pretty safe out here anyway.
I stayed out all night by the pool til dawn.
"What the hell Masyn?" Luci come around my chair. "It's freezing out here!" she shivered and rubbed her arms.
I shrugged. "Nah."
She rolled he eyes. "Alpha says you and Morgan are off school."
"Yep."
"Liam's been asking for you." she murmured.
"Uhh. I guess I'll call him later." I tucked my knees into my chest.
