Masyn P.O.V
~
"Masyn!" I heard a little squeal behind me.
I turned to see Cassidy walk up to my locker, something about her seemed...off.
"Hey girl!" I smiled at her nonetheless and gave her a hug. I couldn't help but feel weird. Brushing the feelings off, I let her drag me to form time.
While I was gone, she had made friends with a new girl who started a day after I was last at school which probably was roughly two and a half weeks ago.
"Ay yo Sheila, this my white girl Masyn. Masyn this my cousin Sheila." I looked up to see a rather a girl with thick curly raven hair like Cassidy, they shared the same smooth chocolate coloured skin and straight nose but what stood out to me were her sandy hazel eyes.
"Enough with the ghetto talk Cassi." Sheila rolled her eyes at her cousin. "And I do speak proper english by the way. I'm Sheila." she smiled and stuck out her hand.
I chuckled. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Masyn." And shook her hand, when I did, I felt a strange buzzing when our hands touch. It was like a small electric shock.
And then I wasn't in the corridor shaking hands with Sheila, no. I was in a room, someones bedroom. I was standing next to a window, the sun was setting on the west in an orange/yellow fashion. I recognised the street and the set up of identical white two storeyed houses on the block. I was in Cassidy's house and by the simple look of it and some tell tale signs of a girl, I assumed I was in Cassidy's room.
But why?
The door flew open and I let out a startled sound. Cassi stormed in, Sheila and...
"Carter?" I say out loud and slap my hands over my mouth as soon as his name left my lips.
No one seemed to hear me when Carter followed the two girls in and marched towards me, slamming the door shut behind him.
I froze when I realized I didn't move until his tall form walked straight through me. Like a ghost through walls.
"I'm sorry but you can't change what you are dear cousin." Sheila rubbed her temples.
Cassidy shook her head like a stubborn child. "Yes and I will!"
"Look, your brother failed to kill the disgusting mutt and now he's been put away. He just as good as dead until he gets out." Carter pursed his lips in a tight line on his face. Even though he was twenty, that face made him look and even seem older than he really was.
"Well obviously my dear brother is an idiot!" she spat with disgust. "If any of you so much as touch a hair on them, I swear to the good lord I will kill you myself." her threat didn't seem to bother the other two in the room.
"Just try coco and we'll see who's side you'll pick." Carter said in Cassidy's ear in a low and seductive voice before walking out.
"Coco!?" Cassi said in an irritated tone. "You can fuck off too!" She nodded her head towards the door, speaking to Sheila.
"It's gonna happen soon cousin. Your brother failed because he didn't know anything, they killed his friend and Trevor. I'm not gonna let those bastards get away with them killing Trevor!" Hate leaked into those words. "Why are you defending them!"
The hunter and third party the warriors killed that night was named Trevor.
"They had it coming!" Cassi exploded. "And she was the first and only person to talk to me properly, she's nice and those people? Well, they're her family!"
