Eyawa's greaves glowed as her searing golden heat radiated along them in her stride, every last fiery hurtle bringing drought to the soil under her. But what is it that fuels this stampede of roaring gold? To what end requires a sprint of such intensity that the flames themselves made a twisted face of determination? The answer was actually quite simple. A door needed opening.
Eyawa leaped, no doubt appearing as bright and blinding to the eye as the coral tower of Awoyadva at the height the yellow morning. And in the eyes of the woefully unprepared yorgumite soldiers along the gate, that only called for one action.
"Run!" one of the soldiers screamed as Eyawa dove with the appearance of demon faced meteor and crashed through the gate, shaking the massive stone walls in which the yorgumites lived. A mist of wooden shards blew wildly as she rose of her knee, regained her composure as she felt her bone rattle from the impact. Yet, her stride was not complete. She restarted her sprint, running through the crowd of blue-skinned lotans and lotanesses, pushing, shoving, and even going as far as to leap and run along their heads. A group of soldiers waited on her, their hulking rifles a blaze with auras, when paired together, resembled that of a rainbow. They fired their rifles upward taking care not to harm the civilians and if you were to ask Eyawa, they weren't trying to hurt her either. Eyawa breathed in, pulling a mass of air into her lungs that would burst that of a human's and blew the flaming bullets, along with the soldiers, out of her path. They went crashing into the stand and table littered along the giant wall's interior, with only the view of Eyawa's sparkling blonde dreads and golden trials of heat re-entering her body.
She came upon another gate and just the same she took on her golden heat. Knowing she wouldn't be able to pull the same meteoric crash as before, she gathered her heat into her forearm fueling the spring-like inner workings of it with golden fire. She stopped at the gate and pressed her arm against the door. Eyawa pulled air into her lungs, funneled it the air pocket that was her forearm, and a rapid expansion came about her. A golden hand of fire burst from her palm and shot the massive gate straight open. She took off into the deep reaches of the strikingly red forest, unaware of the blue figure watching her as he casually sipped at his drink.
Eyawa rushed rapidly through the forest with tension building in her mind, her chest tightening under the pressure. And who could blame her? Another chance like this may not come for another decade, or century, perhaps a millennium. Eyawa knew she had a long life ahead of her but, she had no intention of being that patient.
"Come on, come on Eyawa! You've got this!" she said to herself as she pushed through, flipping and hopping through the forest.
A bolt of azure shot through the forest carrying an illuminated silver greave that stuck Eyawa's ribs. She crashed into the massive bloodshot stalks of the forest, red sap oozing over her violet garbs as she pried herself from it. The booming trails of electricity settled and in their place was a towering figure with skin as blue as the sky, dark tubings that wrapped along his head and waist like a hood and shorts, and inky blue tattoos that wrapped along his sinewy arms and chest. He approached her, melting the snow and setting the red grass a blue blaze before his steps even fully touched the ground.
"You might want to rethink this?" Eyawa warned, but the yorgumite showed no sign of even considering her words. "Fine," she sighed "I'll make this qui-"
In a blue flash, Eyawa's face was between the tree she'd just came and the scorching silver of the yorgumites boot. Her body tore through the tree's innards and quickly returned to her feet with glowing golden flame flowing through her forearms. The springs of her arms inflated and golden palm-shaped walls of flame shot out. The yorgumite zipped out of the way in a stream of static blue that Eyawa tracked as it bounced from tree to tree. She began to chew and a golden gum-like substance materialized between her jaw. The yorgumite darted at her back and turned, swiftly blowing a bubble that's flaming innards resembled that of a smiling masked demon. The explosion rattled the earth under them and for moment Eyawa was ready to claim victory, but in that same moment, she felt electricity permiate the air. This battle wasn't over and that notion was given further clarity when the smoke settled. Eyawa was not the only one whose power manifested a face. Though this face was that of a serpent's. One with a gaping maw filled with sharpened teeth and azure energy that struggled to hold between a sparkling flame and crackling thunder. At that point, there was nowhere to run and as the azure serpent came ever closer she knew there was only one thing to do. She gathered all the heat she could muster and from her jaw emerged an oblong bubble filled with masked demon faces that seemed far less confident this time around. Eyawa let out a great roar and lunged toward the serpent.
