Chapter 22: Colliding Flames

An ethereal violet flame erupted in Gosheven's hands and with a swift movement groom of his hair the flames dried the waters from it and formed his brown and black high-top.

"You know one day you're going to set your hair on fire," Kaga scolded as she held her camera high.

"If I just lost all my skills one day maybe," Gosheven chuckled. "Here, take my hand," Gosheven asked with his imageon coated hand stretched out.

Kaga looked at his hand with caution, but after peer up to his worryless brown eyes, she took his hand. The flames flowed around and Kaga closed her eyes in anticipation for the pain, but none came. She opened her eye and a dress of violet flames hugged her curves with the comforting warmth of a tucked in blanket.

"See look, you're fine, in more ways than one I'd say."

"Alright... I guess you're the imageon master."

"Oh far from it," Gosheven smiled and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. "The woman who taught me said normal people don't tend to master imageon due to our weak bodies and short lifespans and right after telling me 'Niyamako is a world of truly endless possibilities. Where every force in existence meets, fully visible to any and everyone. Can you believe it?"

"I'm sure that got you pissed off."

"You know I was heated, until something about that woman told me that it wasn't caution that made her say that. She was inviting me to do it. She knew I had the potential to see everything and do everything, that I wasn't a normal man. I tell you Kaga, there was just something about her that made me feel like I could do anything."

"Should I be worried?"

"Oh please, the love I have for her is the love you'd have for a nurturer. The kind of love I have for you is the kind that makes me want to burn that bathing suit off," he laughed and pulled her by her waist. "Besides, I oughta be asking those questions with how well you and Orunya have been getting along lately."

"Hey, that's not fair she hexed me with her totally not magic"

"Hey you don't have to explain it to me babe. Just keep that camera rolling on the next girl's night."

Kaga smacked him in the chest, her face red with embarrassment.

"Gosheven! Ooooo you... you... I... I miss you so much!" Kaga broke down and hugged him, tear running down her face. "Why?! Why'd it have to be here and for something so stupid?! Dammit, why didn't you just listen to me!" She yelled, her voice muffled in his chest.

"Kaga... Kaga!"

Kaga awakened from her rest in the same spot she'd passed out in. Ghawou was standing over her with disappointed an indifferent look on his face.

"You done napping?"

"I..."

"Perhaps if you'd been a slight bit transparent, vi could have told you that it takes time to reach your previous threshold. Keep doing shit like that and your going to keep overloading your senses and passing out. Got it?"

"Yeah I got it. Where are the others?"

"Vi made them leave to their quarters to continue process without your distractions."

"Okay so why just leave me on the floor?"

"Because whomever was teaching you before did most of the work for me. The white flames charging out of you were a true sign of that but, there is something holding you back isn't there?"
