Taking care of a dog isn't too hard. Especially if you like exercise and walking. You just need to take it to walks so it can relieve itself, feed it and play with it. I've had Iris for a week now and I can say that she's a really happy dog now. She's gotten bigger and brighter. Her favorite toy is Mr. Blue, the blue foxlike dog toy with a long tail.

I decide to take Iris for a walk a little so I put on gray tights and a tank top.

"Do you want to accompany me on walking Iris in the park?" I turn to Mel that's sitting on a beanbag and scrolling through her phone.

We did a sleepover because she wanted to spend time with me even though she played with Iris most of the time she was here. I think that she just wanted to spend time with the dog and not me, it's not like I'm fluffy and cuddly and cute.

 I can't believe I'm getting jealous over a dog.

"Accompany? What are you, a rich forty years old CEO?" she cocks an eyebrow looking up from her phone.

I chuckle. "Yes, accompany. Do you want to come or not?" I ask folding my pajamas and putting them on my bed.

"Of course." She says enthusiastically jumping from the beanbag.

"Alright" I say getting out of my bedroom, Mel following me.

"Mom, we're going to take Iris for a walk" I grab her leash "With Mel" I add.

"Okay, just be careful, she's still young, keep her on the leash" mom warns from the kitchen.

"Okay mom" I say going into the kitchen and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Do you think Lion will be there?" Mel wonders getting out of the house.

"Where?" I ask as I try to calm Iris down because she keeps tugging the leash. She still needs to learn to behave when on leash.

"The start of the school year party?"

"That exists here?" I ask dumbfounded.

"You live in this town and I know it better than you" she laughs.

"Yeah well I'm not that social so shut up" I huff. "I don't know though"

"You'll go, right?"

"I don't know. I'm not a party person. Remember the party we went last year?"

"Oh yeah, you almost fell from a roof and you weren't even that drunk, you were just tipsy" she says recalling the event.

Last year we were invited to an end of the school year party. We were so excited because it was our first high school party. It was the usual party like you see in the movies with red cups and all. At the beginning I didn't want to drink but I wasn't having fun. Mel convinced me if I drink I'll loosen up and start really partying. And that's exactly what I did even though I wasn't fully drunk, I only drank like two and a half cups of alcohol mixed with some juice. Apparently I'm a lightweight. I wanted to see the stars so I climbed upstairs, went in one of the rooms and I stepped out of the window to the roof because I saw it in a movie that time. Silly old me wasn't in a state to think and see properly and didn't see that the roof was too narrow for me to step on it and if Mel didn't catch me in the right time I would've broken some bones then. I don't want to know what I'll do if I'm full on drunk.

I don't know if I should go to this party though. I don't want that incident to happen but at the same time I want to make new friends here. There is only half a month left of summer vacation and I want to make the most of it.
