Chapter 12: The happiness

As the bell rings Mrs. Miller, our homeroom teacher enters the classroom "Okay everybody. Quiet down." 

Mrs. Miller crosses her arms against her chest. "The Ministry of Education accepted our suggestion for going on a trip again this year and..." she stops mid sentence as everybody in class start cheering.

"Where are we going?" some girl in the back asks.

"Good question, Suzy. The other teachers and I have talked and we all agreed that the best option is Paris. We know how all of you like that city so we thought you would like to relax there a little. Have fun before the school really starts."

 As they continue talking about the trip, Lion turns to me "Are you going to go?" 

"I don't know, I need to talk with my mom" I say, still looking at Mrs. Miller.

I turn towards him "Are you?" 

"Probably. Mom always lets me go on these trips." Lion says.

I rest my head on my arm. "I don't know if I will. " 

"You better. It's going to be so much fun with all four of us together" Lion declares.

What is he planning?

"This day was so frustrating" Mel huffs climbing into the car.

I fasten my seat belt "Why? What happened?" 

"Well, Mason and I were having a conversation about the trip when some random girl interrupted us, asking for Mason's phone number. Apparently she's new here" Mel rebukes rolling her eyes.

"What did Mason do?" 

"He gave her his number, that's what he did and he didn't even notice me when I huffed. That asshole" she mumbles.

"Well, does he know that you kinda like him?" I ask.

"No..." she says "But it's so obvious how I reacted to that. I mean It was written all over my face" she adds.

"You can't expect from him to know if you haven't said anything Mel. Just talk to him. Maybe he likes you too. Who knows?" I suggest.

"You're right. Thanks." Mel says, smiling at me.

"No problem" I smile.

"Anyway, how's it going with lover boy Lion? Hmm?" Mel teases.

"Stop doing this. You're making it worse. He already has a girlfriend" I say rolling my eyes.

"Maybe they'll break up? Mason told me that he saw them arguing a couple of days ago" she says.

"Two days ago, I was at his house doing the chemistry project when she came. I think they were about to argue so I left." I say.

"Hold up, hold up, hold up. You were at his house? Alone? Did something spicy happen?" Mel asks, raising her eyebrows up and down.

"Nothing happened. Zoe interrupted us and I left. That was it" I say. Blush creeps up on my cheeks as I recall the events from the next day. 

"Oh really? Then why are you blushing?" Mel smirks.

"Nothing happened then, but something almost happened yesterday." I say in thought still recalling what happened.

"What almost happened? Tell me!" Mel demands curiously.

I start talking fast "Well, we kinda played a game to relax, made a bet, I lost the bet, had a tickle war and almost kissed, but that's it" I say in a rush.
