Chapter 2: News

"What do you mean?" He asked, still confuse of what the person on the other line mean.

"Josh! She's in the hospital." The person on the other line yelled at him.

"What?" He whispered, it was barely audible.

"She got into an accident. Come! Faster!" Georgina, his sister is the person on the other line. She then hung up the call, leaving him in a state of confusion and shock.

He was still in the office with his secretary, Katy. After recovering himself from the news that he just heard, he quickly put on his clothes and left his office.

He looked bad. He hasn't  yet to take a shower and his hair are messy. The button up shirt was wrinkled and his shoes was not put on probably. His hair was messy, probably from the dirty deeds he did last night with another woman beside his wife. He looked like a jobless man.

After arriving at the hospital that she was in, he immediately ran to the the receptionist counter.

"Where's the room Rose King was in?" He asked the receptionist, still trying to caught his breath.

"She was still in the emergency room, sir. It was on the sixth floor on the left." She replies after checking her information in the computer.

Not wasting anytime, He ran up the stairs not bothering about the elevator.

"Josh!" Georgina stood there in front of the emergency room.

"What happen? Why is she in there?" He practically shout.

"She got into an accident. A drunk driver hit her when she was crossing the road." She explained.

"Where the hell is that guy? I'm going to kill him." At this point he was going mad. Mad at the fact that, that driver hit his precious wife.

"He was in the police station. Calm down. I'm sure Rose would want to see you first thing when she woke up." Georgina pat his back a little.

He doubted it. He was being horrible to her. She wouldn't want to see him.

A few hours had pass by and yet the doctor haven't been out yet. Josh was walking back and forth, his hand was shaking. He was scared. He let out a growl as he banged his fist on the wall.

"Stop it Josh. You're bleeding." His sister tried to take his hand away from the wall.

"Rose wouldn't want see you hurt!" She screamed, this make him stop.

Clearly you can see that she didn't know anything. She didn't know what Rose had went through. She didn't know that this incident happen because of him. And he also didn't know that it was his fault, not the driver. He knew the things he did was wrong but he didn't exactly know how badly it hurts her.

The doctor finally came out and Josh ran to him. He grabbed the doctor's shoulder. "Is she safe?"

"She's safe for now but lost a lot of blood. She got a concussion on her head. It seemed like her head was hit with something else first before she gotten into the accident. There's also scars on her arm and body. It's seemed like she's being harming herself for quite a long time now. She won't be waking up for quiet a while as her condition is really complicated." The doctor explained.

"When will she wake up?"

"We're not sure. Her condition is really severe. It can take a week, a month, a year, or never waking up at all." His expression sadden and worried was fill in his eyes.

"Can I see her?" He pleaded.

"Yes. She'll be move to another room" the doctor bowed and walk away.
