Ch.13: Ice

Definition:
Ice[noun]: frozen water, a brittle transparent crystalline solid.

Relationships between lovers are like sheets of ice in the winters. Although sometimes the ice can be frozen hard and strong but if you accidentally step on a thin, fragile part, there's only one thing that will happen. You will fall into the icy cold water, through the one and only hole you stepped on.

Now, who can you blame? You're the one making the decision to walk on the unpromising frozen body of water. You are the one walking carelessly, without any fears or thoughts that maybe, just maybe, you might fall. You are the one who broke the ice. So who could you really blame? But then again, you didn't know that you'll fall. If you would've known you wouldn't walk around on this unpredictable sheet of ice. Or would you?

Mistake is something that everybody makes. Decisions can sometime be something that you will come to regret later on in life. It can be one of the many mistakes you make in your lifetime.

We can't predict the future and we wouldn't know if the decision that we're making right now is wrong or right. But it's something that needed to be done. You can't leave it hanging. Avoiding problems is definetly not the solution.

Writing something down on a piece of paper is easy, isn't it? But once you make a mistake, even if you use an eraser to erase it, you can still see the stain. It won't go anywhere. This is not always a bad thing though. Because it's a constant reminder that you've made this mistake before and it's better to not make it again.

It's been quite sometimes now since the last time Rose opened her eyes. And unfortunately today is no better than the others.

Louis went back to live with his father and Josh still continued living normally.

Except for the fact that Rose is not in the house with them anymore, but she's in a coma back in the hospital.

Louis didn't even talk to Josh anymore, probably still mad at the fact that Josh cheated on his mother and the reason why his mom is in the hospital right now.

What can he do? He is in fact the reason of the accident. Because after reading all of letters Josh finally understood why on the very last letter, Rose stated that she wanted to be gone.

Regrets, that's how he felt. To the point where he can't bring himself up to read the next letter. Because the guilt that has settled in his stomach kept rising up everytime he read about his mistakes and what he had put his so call beloved wife and son through.

The monster call guilt can't leave him alone. It continued haunting him at his workplace, at his own house, even in his dream. Something that even the greatest sorcerer called Harry Potter couldn't even get rid of. It certainly is scarier and even more dangerous than Lord Voldemort.

"Aren't you going to talk to your dad?" Georgina asked Louise as she sliced the apples for him inside the hospital.

Without answering, Louis just continue to tell his mom about his day while holding her hand and constantly giving her kisses.

It's always in his schedule. After school, Louis would be picked up by his aunt and they would drive to the hospital and stayed their until night time around 7 or 8. On weekends Louis insisted on sleeping with his mom no matter how hard Georgina tried to convince him.

Sleeping on the couch is not very comfortable but since Louis is tiny he could easily fit on the couch. Even if it's not as cosy as sleeping on a bed, he said he wanted to spend every moment of his life with his mom as much as he can. Because you will never know when will she wake up or will she even wake up.
