Vivian sat in despair as her friends were all busy. She wanted to be apart of the group, but she couldn't. Her violent nature got in the way.
She just wanted to protect them.
She sat on her couch watching Halloween. She chewed on her popcorn quietly. Her parents weren't home again. As per usual, they went on date night.
Her friends were either working, babysitting, or fucking around. It pissed her off, not being able to do much. She continued watching the movie, until she heard creaking amongst the floor boards.
She stood up in high alert. She knew what was happening. She looked all over the place, before being face to face with the monster himself.
His horrifying disfigurement. His bright red skin. His long and twisted horns. Even his black eyes.
It was the devil.
"Why hello, my dear," he intimated.
"Please, I already gave you my soul, what else could you want?"
"I want you to suffer."
The lights flickered violently. The house shook, as if on the verge of collapsing. There was fire in her vision. There was a loud screech, causing her ears to bleed. She screamed and shouted. What she didn't know was that Malena was walking home that night after talking with Sage. She and Vivian lived on the same street; they were neighbors. Malena was about to walk into her home, before she noticed the lights flickering violently at the Dickinson's house. It wasn't until she heard a scream that she decided to run over there.
Malena knocked on the door. "Vivian?" She called. No answer. She banged on the door, until it suddenly opened.
The lights were back to being off. Vivian was curled up on the floor, sobbing. Malena ran over to her, and helped her up. Vivian sobbed on her shoulder.
In all the years that she'd known Vivian, she's never seen her cry. Malena held her close.
"What happened?" She whispered.
Vivian shook her head and held on tighter.
Malena would eventually get an answer, but for now, she just wants to be there for her friend.
