Devon was finally able to hold a Halloween party, since the factory didn't need her.
She didn't want anything crazy, she just wanted to hang out with her friends. She was almost finished with putting on her costume, before she forgot her mask.
It was a beautiful mask; it was a half mask, with red and gold rims on one side, and blue and silver on the other.
Before she put it on, there was a knock on the door. She ran towards the door, and she opened it.
"Alissa, hi!" She hugged her pal, who wrapped her arms around her. Alissa's strawberry blonde hair was in a bandana, and her leather jacket had a small stain. "Sorry I took a while," she replied. "I went to eat something before I got here, and then my jacket stained.
Devon scoffed before waving her hand. "No biggie," she insisted. "Anyways, wanna help me decorate?"
They began to put up streamers and balloons, along with setting up snack and drink tables. Devon was careful that nothing got on her costume.
She snapped her fingers and remembered her mask.
She walked over to the small vanity, but her mask was gone.
Instantly, she heard Alissa. "Uh, Devon? I assume Tristan can't eat plastic."
Devon ran downstairs and was shocked. Her bulldog, Tristan, was chewing on the mask!
"No no no! Bad dog!" Devon got the mask away from him, but it was too late. The mask was torn, shredded completely.
"Aw, man," she spoke. "I paid $30 for that mask."
She groaned as she sat on the couch.
"Well, don't you have a spare mask?"
"There may be something in my parents' storage room."
After Devon got Tristan into her room, Alissa and Devon walked over to the small door next to the oven. She never really went into the storage room, but Devon needed a mask for her costume.
She opened the door to see shelves of masks. Creepy.
She spotted a mask that interested her. The mask was a dark red, and it gave off a sinister look.
Alissa smiles. "That mask looks cool," she said, pointing to the large bunny head.
Devon shook her head and grabbed the red one.
She attached it to her head. She started to feel...tingly?
Suddenly, her face was burning, she began to yell. Alissa looked in panic, but she didn't know what to do.
Devon stood still for a moment, before looking remarkably calm. Alissa was freaked.
"Devon?"
"Whom?"
That wasn't Devon's voice.
"Who are you?"
"I am Madame Lacey. And you are trespassing!"
"D-Devon, this isn't funny anymore, c'mon buddy."
Alissa was backing up slowly.
"I. Am. Not. Devon!"
Madame Lacey began to choke Alissa. She grabbed Madame Lacey's hands and tried to pry them off.
In an instant, Malena, Vivian, Ivy, and Spencer walked in and watched in horror. Spencer rushed over to pry her hands off. Ivy jumped on Devon's back, and Vivian was pulling on Ivy. Malena tried to get Devon's face to her, but she ended up grabbing the mask.
The girls all fell to the ground, confused to what happened. Devon stared at the mask in horror.
She decided that she'll burn it.
