The night sky shined with stars as seven friends drive underneath the sky in their RV. Scott was driving as Amber sat next to him in the passenger seat. In the back, Jack and Milo played video games on the small television. Ty, Lucas, and Kiara all sat on their respective beds, Kiara cuddled up on Ty.
The friends were heading to New Hampshire for a camping trip. They were on the highway where plenty of leaves flew towards the forest as they drove. Scott was going at least 70 mph. Amber fell asleep next to him, despite the noise from Jack and Milo. Lucas smiled a little at Milo as he won another round. Kiara watches the game while curled up next to Ty. He gently kissed her cheek. "Isn't this fun?" He asked. Kiara looked at the two screaming boys–boys, not men– and shook her head. Kiara replied, jokingly, "Fun but loud." They both chuckled. Lucas stretched out on the couch, his football jersey crinkling. Jack kept yelling with Milo, until Lucas tossed a pillow at them. "Hey!" Jack replied by tossing a chair cushion, and somehow the loud yet peaceful trailer became dangerous.
So much for quiet, thought Kiara.
Suddenly there was a loud thump in the middle of the road. Everyone jumped a little, and the car started to slow down. "Oh for fucks sake," he said as he turned around. "We're outta gas. I need one of you to come with me to fill it up." Jack stood and went outside with him. All of a sudden, they ran back inside and slammed the door. Everyone stood up.
Milo looked at them. "The hell happened?" He asked.
Scott looked out the window anxiously. Jack looked at them. "There are people outside."
Ty scoffed at them, and Kiara looked up at him. "So?" Ty replied. "There's people everywhere, what's wrong with them being there?"
Scott looked at him dead in the face, which made Ty stop grinning. "They has guns, and they called us mutts when we got out. I think they're hunting, so y'all need to be there."
Ty, Amber, Lucas, and Jack looked at each other and grinned a little. "Then lets give 'em mutts." His eyes started to glow a bright blue. Jack helped Amber to the roof of the car, then followed her. Lucas gave Milo a quick kiss on the cheek before he followed those two. Kiara quickly grabbed Ty's sleeve, his glowing gold eyes looking at her in concern.
"Ty, are you sure this is safe?" She asked quietly. "They could be dangerous."
Ty smiled a little and kissed her head. "Relax," he whispered. "I'll be back." He followed the other three up there. Scott exited the car and Milo kept a watchful eye outside. Kiara held her hands nervously against her chest, as if praying.Badger really lost it this time, according to Hayden. Finn followed them in hopes of finding foxes, but instead they're hunting wolves.
Not just any wolves. Werewolves.
Badger had a hatred towards them, and he never understood why. He never asked anyways.
The three men heard a low growl, and each of them lifted their rifle. A young man came out of the RV they were following. He was the same one who came outside with the boy with black hair. He was tall, with silvery blonde hair and bright green eyes. He wore a grey t shirt with black jeans and black sneakers. Badger pointed his rifle at him, completely stone faced. "Alright pal, enough fooling around! Who are you and where are the mutts?" He spoke in a low voice, as if to not attract any attention. The man stood strongly. "I think you're my way."
As Scott tried to go past him, Badger hit him with the butt of his rifle. Hayden dragged him backwards and gave him a shocked look. "Are you bar shit crazy?" He was bewildered as Badger stood emotionless. "What if you lure-"
In three seconds flat, four large wolves surrounded them. They jumped from the top of the RV. No, not large wolves- werewolves.
Finn aimed his gun towards one with black fur and bright red eyes. Hayden aimed towards the brown colored one with blue eyes. Badger pointed towards one with white fur and black eyes. The dark brown one with gold eyes dragged Scott towards the front of the RV. Another young man dragged him in, then exited. He was a bit shorter, with messy brown hair and innocent brown eyes. He looked at the three men with caution, but he stood strong.
"I'm sorry gentlemen," he began. "But you either get the hell away from here, or the wolves will hunt you down. Your choice."
Finn looked at Badger with uncertainty. "Badger, maybe we should-"
"Can it, dickweed!" He scolded, causing Finn to look towards the ground. The red eyed one tilted his head at Finn. He gulped, but he kept his gun pointed at him. It almost looked...disappointed? "These are the goal. The ultimate game. Unlike any other animals, they can actually think without just instinct. They got tact. Hunting them would be a legend, and I gotta get one of their heads, or it'll be the death of me!" He kept his aim at the white one, but then she ran at him. Badger swung her away with the barrel of his rifle, sending her flying against the RV.
Milo stood wide eyed. "Amber!" He ran over to her. Finn knew something bad would happen as the wolves snarled louder and-
BANG!
Everyone stood silent as Badger fell with a groan, gripping his now bloody knee close. Hayden, Finn, and everybody else looked towards the RV. Finn saw a girl with brown hair and fair skin with green eyes. She held a double barrel rifle. Her eyes looked cold, similar to Badger's.
"Kiara?" Milo said, nervous. Scott ran out to help Amber, while the other three looked at Kiara in shock.
"Not now," she said, almost confidently. "Now, you three-" she kept the gun aimed at them. Hayden was about to shoot when another loud bang filled the silence, and Hayden went down with a bullet in his arm. He yelled in pain as the blood dripped down.
"Wait!" Finn yelled. Everybody looked at him. He dropped his rifle. "It doesn't have to be this way. We can leave, just please stop this!"
Kiara looked tough, but then she gave him a look of sympathy. She just didn't want her friends hurt, and now she hurt his friends. She sighs, and lowers the gun. "Scott, Milo, Lucas, get Amber in the car and fill er up. Ty and Jack, come with me."
The two guys and the wolf, who now turned into a tan blonde guy, got the girl into the RV. One of the wolves turned human as well- he was also tall, tanned skin with black hair/blonde streaks. His eyes were a dark brown, and they looked at Kiara in concern. She nodded.
The other wolf turned into the fella from earlier, the broad guy with black hair and black eyes. Finn found this one attractive, but he tried hard to hide his blush. "You can't be serious Kiara-" he began, but she gave him a look. "Jack, they're injured. They can't use their guns, can't we try to get them home?"
It took a while for Finn to coax Badger into letting them help them. Ty carried Badger over his shoulder, and Jack carried Hayden. Kiara took the guns and carried them in her old gym bag. Finn led the way to their little cabin in the middle of no where.
Badger and Hayden were rested and wrapped up, and Finn thanked them for helping. He almost swore that Jack, the more aggressive wolf, smiled. Finn waved them goodbye. They all waved back, including Jack.
And so, the three humans and their four wolves were on the road again.
