Percys pov

I follow Annabeth best I can and get to her house about an hour after she did great, I bolt inside and go inside, I hear crying in her bathroom, I start to turn the knob, unlocked, I go inside and see her balled up in a corner an almost empty bottle of vodka on the counter and a bloody knife on the floor, I go over to her and get on my knees lifting her chin, she opens her eyes and sees me, she tries to explain and all I do is pull her into a hug "Where?" she sniffles "My wrists, and my ribs" I nod "I promise everything is alright Annabeth" she pulls away "No it isn't!! My mom died!! My dad is never here!!! Luke cheated on me!! And worst out of everything here, I didn't believe you when you were telling the truth! I hate my life" I hug her again tighter than before "Please dont say that" "But its true" I pick her up and take her to her bed so she can be more comfortable, I sit down and let her sit on my lap as I hug her while she cries "Why can't life be simple? Why do people have to cheat on you??!! Why are people so cruel!!??" I eventually calm her down and she falls asleep I set her down and take off her shirt so I can try to clean what I can. I grab a couple things and clean her cuts before wrapping them up and pulling a blanket over her. There's a knock on the door and I answer it to reveal Luke, I step outside and he seems pissed "Why were you in there she hates you" "Well before we were rudely interrupted by you and Drew I was explaining to her what happened" he glares at me "Just let me talk to her please" "no she's asleep plus you really hurt her" "Well so did you" "No, mine was a wrong number not a she caught me making out with another girl while trying to make up with a friend" he sighs "I'm not leaving till I talk with her" "Well then that's gonna be a while" I walk back inside as he groans in frustration, I close and lock the door as I walk upstairs, Annabeth is still sound asleep on her bed, I sit on the edge of the bed and play with her curls, what have I done to her?
Annabeths pov
I wake up and Percy isn't here and all my cuts are wrapped, I get up and walk to the bathroom and see that it was cleaned, I do my things throw on a hoodie and head downstairs, Percy is sound asleep on the couch. I sigh, why did my life have to be so complicated. I hear something outside and I open the door to reveal Luke sitting on my porch he very quickly turns around and gets up "Anni-" I slam the door in his face. Not happening. I go to the kitchen and the key I stole from my dad for the liquor cabinet is gone, Percy probably took it, I hear him get up and I run upstairs to my room, I don't exactly want to face him right now. He walks upstairs and finds me sitting on my bed, he sits down next to me "How are you feeling?" I shrug my shoulders "Idk" he hugs me "please tell me I'm worried" I just sit there while he embraces me, kinda lost in my thoughts. He just hugs me tighter when tears start to spill onto my cheeks "I just- I don't- I-" he shh's me "It's alright I promise" I turn and look at him "How do you know?" He shrugs "I just do" "I wish life wasn't so complicated, and cruel, and... STUPID" he laughs "Me too"  I sigh "Nachos?" he laughs getting up and heading downstairs "Nachos"
