Author's Note: This is actually an add on to the last chapter. Instead of the hot air balloon thing, this is what they do:
"Me either," He says dismissively. He starts walking to the into one of the stores.
I look confusingly at him and know he's up to something.
"Dastan what are you doing?" I ask.
He points upward to the store's sign that reads: World of Disney.
"We could use some magic," He says. I cross my arms. "And you could use some clothes,"
A smile creeps upon my lips as I run toward him. "Are you serious?"
"Deadly."
"Then let's go!" I scream like child.
Despite the fact that every piece of clothing in the store is printed with something Disney one way or another, I have to admit that some of clothes are pretty cute. Take this tankini top I got that is based off of the Disney Cruise Line, for example. It's killer with the leggings we bought next door and is way more flattering than all those darn shapeless t-shirts. I end up buying a total of eight outfits, and manage to talk Dastan into getting a Mickey Mouse Legend t-shirt (the Mickey on it looks like he's the hero of all things Disney- fitting right?). Even after we check out, we stay around and play with the merchandise. Dastan takes a Perry The Platypus plush from the shelf and hands me a Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz action figure from the show Phinias and Ferb.
"I haven't done this in years!" I remark.
"Neither have I," He admits. I laugh and ignore the crazed glances from the adults around us.
"With this radioactive enhanced magic wand I shall take over the Tri-state area, forcing each and every Disney World attraction to turn evil! Whahahaha!" I say mimicking the Doctor's evil laugh.
"Do be do be du," Dastan starts singing the Perry the Platypus theme music. A girl about the age of six taps Dastan's shoulder and he stops.
"Agent P!" She shouts. We both burst out laughing and smile at the girl.
After our shopping spree we stop for popcorn and dinner at one of the markets and continue walking through the shops until we stop at the sight of an acopello men from College groups gather in one open spot singing classic Disney songs. Currently they sing the song A Whole New World from Aladdin. Dastan motions for me to sit in one of the chairs they've laid out to listen, he almost takes the chair next to me, but he allows a mother and her baby to take it. Instead he stands up behind me, holding the back of my chair with his hands.
I'm surprised at hear how good the group is. I smile at myself and quickly glance up to Dastan who is also smiling, but not at me; at the little girl in the mothers lap sitting next to me.
I watch him for a while. He makes peek-a-boo gestures to her and silly expressions that make her laugh in return. Her mother notices and smiles affectionately at Dastan. I smile. Austin was never like that. He never would be so interested in little kids, and if I even dared mention Dastan and I's conduct with the action figures at the World of Disney store he'd tell me how immature I am. He hated little kids; even my brother, who he complained about so many times.
"What's her name?" Dastan asks the mother.
"Katie," She says.
"Hi Katie," He says waving to her. She waves her little hand back and the satisfaction in Dastan's eyes shine.
He notices me then, and, if I'm not imagining it, his smile grows wider.
Before I know it the acopello group has stopped singing and is asking for two volunteers. When know one does, he says "Just two, come on we don't bite." I shake my head laughing; and praying for someone else to volunteer. "You!" One of the men says pointed behind me. I wince. I know exactly who volunteered. And I know exactly who has to go up with him.
