I woke up and knew that I was no longer on the couch, I was in a bed. I felt a presence next to me and then remembered that I was sharing my room with Alycia. Then I remembered the events of last night, I looked under the covers secretly trying not to wake a sleeping Alycia to see that I had been changed into my pyjama shorts and tank top and my foot was heavily bandaged.

I sighed and laid back down on the bed. I felt Alycia string beside me and I turned my head to look at her, she had turned to face me and propped herself up on her elbow.

"My saviour" I said with a smile. She smiled back and all I could think about was kissing her but I knew that would be crossing a boundary.

"You were so brave" she said mockingly and pushing a strand hair behind her ear.

"What happened?" I asked not really remembering much that happened

"Well we were walking back from the lake and you stepped on a big piece of glass and so I carried you back to the cabin, removed the piece of glass and bandaged you up and gave you stitches, I learnt how to do that from my mother who is a doctor. Then Marie and Eliza changed you into those clothes and put you to bed. But when I removed the glass, blood just sort of kept coming out of the wound and so I think you passed out due to blood loss and shock, but you will be fine" she explained, and all I was focused on was the way her lips moved when she talked.

She snapped her fingers in my face to get my attention. "What are you thinking about?" she asked, with a curious smirk plastered on her face.

"Ummm nothing" I replied and looked up to the ceiling.

"Well, if it was nothing then we better get up, the others are cooking breakfast" she said as she got up. I was about to get up and walk on my own before she came over and held out her hand for me to take. "You can't walk by yourself just yet" she said as she put my arm over her shoulder and helped me walk to the kitchen.

"There's my crippled little nugget" Marie said as we walked into the kitchen. She gave me a kiss on the forehead and winked then walked off. Alycia helped me sit at the barstool at the kitchen counter and sat next to me. Then Eliza placed a plate of bacon and eggs in front of the both of us. As soon as it was there it was gone. I was so hungry, I hadn't eaten dinner last night.

After breakfast the others said they were going to go out for a hike. I of course could not attend as I cannot walk. But I did not mind I didn't enjoy hiking very much. One plus that came from them leaving was that Alycia did not like hiking either and volunteered to stay back with me to keep me company. I was not complaining that is for sure.

Alycia and I were now sitting on the couch flicking through the television stations seeing if there was anything on. When we couldn't find anything to watch I recommended we watch a movie. We ended up watching Wonder Woman and eating popcorn and when we would both reach for popcorn and our hands would touch butterflies erupted in my stomach.

We watched a few more movies before the others arrived home and Alycia was passed out on the couch. Lindsey decided it was a good idea to jump on Alycia and wake her up. That is what she did but it didn't work out very well as Alycia's reflex was to throw whoever it was onto the floor, Lindsey landed on the floor with a loud thump and the whole house erupted with laughter, even Lindsey.

"Note to self, do not scare Alycia" Lindsey said laughing and standing up.

The rest of the night was pretty uneventful, and when it was time for bed Marie helped me change and helped me to bed. I went to bed earlier than the others. I was exhausted. I never really fell asleep last night, I was waiting for Alycia to come into bed to properly fell asleep, but she never came.

I woke up the next morning and walked into the living room carefully, trying not to put too much pressure on my foot.

"Hey let me help you there" Eliza said as she saw me emerge from my room and came over and helped me to the couch. She sat me down then sat next to me. "Where is Alycia?" She asked as she looked at me.

"I'm not sure, she never came to bed last night" I replied just as I said that Bob and Alycia came down the stairs and Alycia looked to be wearing one of Bob's shirts that was too big for her. I could feel anger rising in me and I wanted to leave but knew I couldn't because of my stupid foot.

They both came in and sat on the other couch close to each other, too close for my liking. Alycia wasn't mine and she was free to like who she wanted to but it hurt seeing her with someone that wasn't me. I thought we had a good thing going. Apparently not.
