My Sister's Friend

I woke up with a huge smile on my face since Alycia was still snuggled into my side still lightly snoring. I looked over to the clock on the bedside table and saw that it was 9 am. Thinking that the others would be awake I tried to wake up the sleeping beauty next to me.

I lightly stroked her cheek and felt her start to stir. She opened her eyes and her green ones met my y/e/c ones. A small smile made its way to her face and I reciprocated.

"Morning" she rasped out with her adorable morning voice, I melted at the sound.

"Morning" I replied still smiling and getting lost in her green orbs. I could get used to waking up to this. "As much as I would love to stay here forever with you, I think it's time to get up." I say as I move a stray piece of her hair behind her ear. She nods and removes herself from my side and I instantly miss her warmth.

I watch as she gets out of bed and notices she only in a shirt. I quickly look away not knowing where we stood at the moment and I wanted to avoid any unnecessary conflict. I made my way out of bed and stretched. I looked back at Alycia and she had her back to me as she was changing. Blush quickly made its way to my face and I looked away and made my way to the door.

"I will meet you downstairs" I say as I exit the room not trusting myself to stay in that room any longer. I made my way downstairs and was met by a smiling Eliza standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee and two other cups on the kitchen table. "Where are the others?" I ask trying to change the subject before she had any chance to ask anything.

"They all went shopping. But I know what you are doing but we will talk about this later." She replied as she came over and gave me a hug and walked back upstairs. "I will be in my room working on some things if you need me" she said and winked at me as she made her way upstairs passing Alycia and whispering something to her that made Alycia giggle.

I shook my head and smiled as I grabbed my coffee cup and headed outside and sat on the steps. I took a deep breath in and let it out and sipped at my coffee looking out to the forest that surrounded the cabin. I heard the back door open and close and footsteps coming my way.

Alycia sat down next to me and rested her head on my shoulder. I didn't move as I was content with our closeness. We stayed like this for what felt like forever until she removed her head from my shoulder and look at me. I looked at her confused and she sighed and looked away.

I placed my hand under her chin and forced her to look at me. "Alycia, what is is?" I asked looking into her eyes.

"What are we?" She asked and I looked at her with a confused look. "Like are we friends, more than friends, enemies?" She asked, clarifying her question.

"Look you really did hurt me and confused me and as much as I wanted to hate you I just couldn't. I tried moving on, I tried forgetting you but everything I did just made me think about you. You were always on my mind and that truly scares me. I have never had feelings this strong for someone. I want to be more than friends with you Alycia. But if we try this we have to take things slow. I fear that if we move too fast we will be back at square one before we know it and I don't want that." I told her expressing how I truly felt.

"y/n I want this so much. I have loved you ever since I saw you. You are the most beautiful person inside and out. I really don't deserve you. You are too good. But I really want to more than friends with you too." She replied as we still held each others gaze.

"Be my girlfriend?" I ask as I continue to stare into her eyes. She looks at me and a single tear slips from her eye and I quickly wipe it away. She nods and pulls me into a hug. I pull back and look into her eyes and then to her lips and back to her eyes. We both started to lean in. I felt her warm coffee rented breath on my lips. My heart was racing, I cant believe I am about to kiss Alycia Debnam-Carey for god sake. 

Just as our lips gently touched we heard the front door open and everyone come inside. We jumped apart and she gave me a sad smile. She gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and got up and went inside. I swear I'm going to kill them all. I soon got up and went inside as well to help unpack the groceries.
