My Sister's Friend

I woke in Alycia's arms the next morning. Her arms were wrapped securely around my waist and my back was firmly pressed into her front. Her slow breaths hit the back of my neck. I smiled to myself as to how lucky I am to have someone like her. She is so forgiving and loving even after everything I have done.

I silently sat their with my thoughts and gently moving my fingers over Alycia's hand that was resting on my waist. I knew I had to go and apologise to Eliza as well, and I should probably do that today. I knew she would understand and I don't think she would be mad, but I have to go and make sure.

I felt Alycia start to stir a little and I noticed she was no longer snoring. I felt her place a kiss on the back of my neck and my heart instantly melted. What did I ever do to get so lucky with her. I turned in her embrace so I was facing her and placed a small kiss on her nose, it scrunched up a little when I kissed her, oh how I have missed that.

"Morning baby" she rasped out her eyes still adjusting to the lights

"Morning" I said with a smile. God I loved waking up to her

"You want any breakfast?" She asked

"Ahhhh yeah sure. I am going to go and take a quick shower though" I said and gave her a quick peck on the lips and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower. I got undressed and hopped into the shower. Once I was finished I stepped out and put on my clothes for the day.

I made my way into the kitchen and saw Alycia cooking at the stove. I went over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her exposed shoulder. She leaned into me and continued cooking. We stayed like that in silence while she cooked. When she had finished we made our way to the dining table and started to eat.

"I have to go and see Eliza today" I state as I eat my food

"Okay, I will come with you, then the three of us can go out for a nice little dinner afterwards" she replied with a smile and continued eating. We ate the rest of our breakfast in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each others company.

I cleaned the dishes while Alycia went to shower. I lied down on the couch waiting for Alycia to be done. She seemed to be taking forever. I didn't know I feel asleep until I woke up on the couch with a weight on top of me. I opened my eyes to see a sleeping Alycia lying right on top of me. I lightly kissed the top of her head and ran my hands through her hair. I looked at my watch and saw that it was 1pm. Gosh we better go to see Eliza.

I gently wake Alycia and we get our final things and head to Eliza's house. Once we arrived I grew nervous and my hands started to go clammy. We walked up the steps and I was about to knock on the door when Alycia stopped me and grabbed my hands as she saw them shaking.

"Hey, it will be fine. She will understand" Alycia told me and pulled me into a tight hug. We pulled apart and she gave me a quick kiss on the lips. I took a deep breath and knocked. Eliza was fast to open the door. As soon as she saw me she pulled me into a tight hug. It took me a second to process what was happening but when I did I hugged back just as tight.

We hugged for what seemed like forever until Eliza pulled back. Both of our eyes were tear stricken. We looked at each other and smiled.

"Eliza I am so so sorry. I never meant to shut you out. I...it's just that..." I started to say before more tears started flowing

"y/n it is okay. I knew this would happen. Ever since your parents I knew you would react like this. I was a little hurt but I am glad you came to see me" she said and pulled me into another hug

"Yes, I know, but from now on I will try to let others in, it may be better than just going at it alone" I said with a small laugh. Alycia and I sat with Eliza just chatting about all the events that happened while I was busing ignoring people. This conversation continued into dinner.

I had a great day and I was happy that I had said my sorry's and that I was all good with all my friends. Alycia and I headed home and I fell into a peaceful sleep surely wrapped in my girlfriends arms.
