Eunwoo's POV
Tapping the bed sheets as I sat on a seat beside the bed Renjun was lying on, I rested my chin on the palm of my hand with my arm resting on the pillow he was sleeping on. Lifting up my fingers from the bedsheet, I placed my hand on his cheek and caressed it softly while observing his expression as he laid there peacefully.
My hand travelled up to his hair and ran through his soft dark locks before I sighed and pulled away.
"Are you going to continue watching him until he wakes up?"
The nurse who was seated at his desk asked, making me shift my gaze away from the boy towards him.
"He seems to be in a deep sleep.""Well, I do want him to wake up and tell me what happened.. but, I guess I should let him rest. He seems really worn-out."
I turned back towards the boy and looked at his puffy eyes and flushed cheeks and gently traced his eyes to wipe away the thin line of tears which remained in his eyes.
"Well, if you'll be staying here with him, I'll just go for my lunch break."
"Alright, go ahead."
Placing my head on the bed with my hand still remaining in the boy's hair, as I waited for the boy to wake up, I found myself drifting off to sleep in the silence.
□
I felt a hand shake me awake and lifted my head up to see Renjun sitting up on the bed.
Blinking a few times to get used to the brightness in the room, I yawned while ruffling my hair, hoping it didn't get too messy during the sleep.
"You're awake."
He nodded his head, but frowned as he looked around.
"Are you feeling okay..?"
He met my eyes and nodded his head again.
".. That's good. You passed out after a panic-attack and worried the hell out of me."
"Sorry."
He looked down to his hands and played with his fingers."It's okay, don't apologize, it's not your fault. Did you see who locked you inside the Janitor's closet?"
He shook his head, avoiding eye contact and flinched when I reached out to hold his chin to get him to look at me.
Frowning, I pulled back my hand and with dread in my voice, I asked,
"Do you still remember me?"He nodded his head and whispered softly, "Hyung."
"Oh. Alright."
He must be scared.
I got up from my seat and looked around for the nurse to tell him we were leaving, but couldn't see him anywhere. Looking out the window, I saw that it was already dark and decided that the nurse of that shift must have gone home.
"Let's go to your dorm and let you rest there."
Nodding his head, he removed the covers off of himself and got off the bed.
The hallways were empty and the lighting was dim. I looked down to my watch to see that it was already half past ten.
The boy beside me moved closer to stick to my side and reached out to hold my hand, making me chuckle.
"I thought you weren't afraid of ghosts?"
"I'm not."
He said that, but he tightened his hold on my hand."Sure."
I reached into my pocket to pull out the key to his dorm and squinted my eyes to see the number written on it.His dorm was located far from where we were and it took us a while to get there, the walk filled with silence.
Once we got to his dorm, I let him go inside before following behind him. Noticing that his dormmate wasn't there, I felt worried if he'll be fine on his own. It was too late for him to pack his bags to go to my place since he didn't seem well enough, so I thought it would be best if he slept here for the night.
"Renjun, your dormmate isn't here, will you be alright?"
He bit down on his bottom lip and nodded his head, and I didn't feel like leaving him here alone anymore.
"Are you sure? Are you hungry? I could buy you food--"
"Hyung, I'll be fine. You can go home."
Looking down into his eyes as he flashed a small smile at me, I brought my hand to his cheek and drew small circles on it with my thumb.
I leaned down towards his lips, but he blocked my lips with his hand."What are you doing?"
