A/N: We're back to Naruto, folks. Also, forgive me! I've been procrastinating because I have no idea on how to explain football.

I breathed the fresh air and I relished the cheer of crowds. The stadium roared as we jogged out, and I couldn't wait to defeat those prideful Tails team.

"Remember the formation, boys?" Sasuke yelled. The team gave back a yell affirming that they did.

"Naruto, remember who your going for." Shikamaru mumbled as he slipped on his helmet. I gave a nod.

It was five minutes before the game started, so I looked into the stands and searched for a certain blue haired person. I grinned when I saw her. She was wearing a purple t-shirt with a black button up shirt over it, blue jeans and black boots. She looked incredibly pretty.

"DO YOUR BEST!" She yelled.

"I WILL!" I hollered back.

I turned around with even more determination in my eyes. I couldn't just win for the team, I had to win for Hinata.

We lined up, and I stared hard into the player in front of me, who growled. I just gave a smirk. We had a secret play and a secret player. The referees whistle blew, loud and clear. Since we were the home team, we had first ball, so Sasuke threw it to Shikamaru.

With his quick and high intelligence, he passed it to Kiba, fastest player on the team. He dodged the tall Tails players easily, and made a touchdown in a matter of seconds. Cheers rose from our school, and I could see pride form each one of the players on my team.

The play started over again, and this time, it was the other teams turn to get the ball to the post. The tallest guy, Baki, ran just like Kiba, but out best defense player, Choji blocked him easily and got the ball, throwing it over to me, and I caught it. I chuckled as I raced through the field, easily swiping through the tall players, and landing our second touchdown.

I couldn't believe our luck! I thought this game was gonna be next to impossible, but it turned out to be easy as a pie. I yelled my touchdown chant, and beat my chest, grinning. Peeking over a look at the stands, I saw a certain girl smirking, and nodding her head.

I jogged back over, and saw Gaara, so I went over to where her was. He looked grim and I frowned.

"Whats wrong, bro?" I asked.

"I knew they would do this." Gaara mumbled, then raced over to the 0' line. I wondered what he meant, but brushed it off. We were gonna totally crush these guys.

As I looked into the eyes of the player in front me when I reached the line, I stared hard into his eyes, looking for some fear... except I didn't find any. I saw a look of cockiness and a smirk. I growled.

"We're only getting started, low life." He spat at me.

"Huh, I don't think so." The football was thrown, and as I zoomed over to where the ball was, which was by a slower player, I couldn't help but laugh. This team sure talks, but doesn't show any brawn.

I reached over to the slower player, who had red hair and a soft look to his face. I skidded over, and used my hand to snatch the ball, but something weird happened. He dodged me. He didn't do that before and when I looked to his soft face, I widen my eyes.

A look of success and death crossed his face. He looked at me once, giving a demeaning laugh and chucked the ball towards a blonde haired teammate of his and ran.

That's what Gaara and that guy from the start line meant. They were just testing us, getting out pride up. Then they would show their true strengths and win the game.

Huh... pretty smart.

Sasuke was over by the blonde guy who the ball, and he looked shocked like me. He tried to get the ball, but failed. The blonde zipped out of his reach and ran towards the goal post... and made a touchdown. The Sunagakure fans cheered with silence on the Konohagakurs side.

The team was stunned. They made our pride go so high up, just to crush it, and lower out confidence. I shook my head, emptying the bad thoughts. Hmph, it was only one point. What more damage could they cause? We were tied, and with our confidence would rise up with a shot! We'll do fine!

Due to the game being so long so far, the referee called for a half-time. The cheerleaders ran out and started their routine while us players walked towards our place for breaks. Sasuke gathered us over and began speaking.

"MEN! We will not let them take us over! We are much better than that! We are the undefeated team for the whole district. DO not let them crush our effort. Do your best! BREAK! Get water or whatever, we're playing in five minutes." We broke away, our spirits higher. Sasuke wasn't one to speak much, but when he did it was impactful. Chugging down a jugful of water, I wiped my mouth and grinned.

I had to hand it to my best friend.

"N-naruto-kun?" I jumped in the air when I saw who it was. I felt my face get red for some reason. Hinata was looking at me with a smile. I looked down. She must be here to make fun of me, like Ino or Sakura do.

"Do your best! I'm cheering for you!"

I looked up and smiled. She looked at me with such awe, such confidence, I couldn't help but smile. The sun was setting slowly, and she was just... glowing.

"Called love Dad."

"I know... that image of her glowing in front of that slightness of the sun is stuck in my mind forever."

"I know."

The call for the team to go out to the field was yelled, and she gave a little sigh for me to go. I gave a thumbs up. I ran out to the playing field with a goofy smile. Tracking next to Sasuke, he gave me a weird look.

"What with the face, dobe?"

I look at him, that smile still on my face.

"I have no idea."
