Chapter 2: lady lake, the aqua metropolis part 1

Opening: Kaze no uta

After leaving their home behind, they made their way downward still. While doing so, Laphicet and rias recognized the area they were in.

"I remember this. We were here 7 years ago." Laphicet remembered

"Same here, phi." Rias agreed.

"7 years ago? So before sophie was born?" Ophis wondered

"Yeah, she was still inside me when we first arrived here." Rias confirmed

"Why didn't you two... er- three live in the city?" Gasper wondered

"I'd like to know as well." Grimoirh agreed with gasper

Rias takes a deep breath before telling them

"7 years ago, i wanted to have a fresh start, i also didn't want to be around other humans. I just wanted some place quiet to live and raise sophie in." Rias explained

"Why?" Ophis asked

Rias remains silent and looks away

"Rias doesn't like talking about her past too much." Laphicet answered for Rias with concern

"I have so many painful memories... it's one of the reasons why i came here with laphicet." Rias added in anguish

"Mommy..." sophie said with concern

After hearing sophie's voice, Rias looked at her and patted her on the head

"Hey, it's okay, really." Rias assured her

"O-okay..." sophie said worried

"I'm glad you're worried about me, and you have every right to be but, i assured you i'm okay." Rias assured sophie

"Okay." Sophie said relieved.

"Let's head into the city." Rias suggested

"Right." Everyone agreed

So they all went to the city and entered it. After entering rias grabbed her chest tightly, Laphicet did the same thing.

"What's wrong?" Grimoirh asked

"The malevolence is quite strong here. Almost like there's a domain here." Rias answered on edge

"Same here." Laphicet agreed

"Can you two keep going?" Ophis asked

"Yeah, we'll live." Rias answered

"Where do we go now?" Gasper wondered

Suddenly a dagger was thrown and got stuck in the wall. Rias and everyone else tried to locate who threw it but couldn't find the person. Rias removes the dagger from the wall and notices a piece of paper on it. She removes the paper and reads it.

"Go to the tiny dragons inn." Rias read.

"What does that mean?" Laphicet wondered

"It has the word "inn" in it so, i'm assuming it's an inn. It even has directions." Rias answered unsurely

"I don't like the sound of this." Ophis Said with uneasiness
