Chapter 15: The Shepard's trial by Water.

After Receiving the Spiritual powers from the fire trial, rias and Co. went back to ladylake. While heading back, they went through Lamorak cave instead of traversing Glaivend basin; sadly the cave lead them halfway through Glaivend basin but after traversing One half of Glaivend basin, they got back to Hyland; they the went back to ladylake and when they arrived, something was different.

"Ah..." rias said with strain on her chest.

"What's going on?" Rossweisse wondered while there was strain on her chest too.

"It's the malevolence here. I thought it was gone after Serafall was purified, why is it back?" Rias wondered in confusion.

"There must be a hellion in the city." Lailah supposed

"A hellion has taken residence here? Wow, we are just "Luckiest" people in this world." Rias said sarcastically

"Let's head to my inn for the time being." Rossweisse suggested

Rias and the others head to the inn and rest there.

"Rossweisse! Rias! You're back!" Serafall noticed

"Hey sera." Rias greeted

"You two okay?" Serafall asked with concern

"It's just the malevolence here. It's putting a lot of strain on us." Rossweisse answered

"I see." Serafall said with understanding

Rias opens the door

"Where you going?" Koneko wondered

"We need that note from Euclid. I'm going to head to his place and get it. The sooner we get it, the sooner we can get out of this domain." Rias answered weakly

"I hate to say think but she's right." Mikleo admitted

Seeing as how the Malevolence was effecting everyone. Sophie decided to do something she's never done before.

"I'll.... i'll get the letter!" Sophie said

"That is a terrible idea." Koneko admitted

"You and me both Nico." Edna agreed.

"I can't feel malevolence like all of you so i can i go get it." Sophie explained

"Sophie, i don't agree with this. It's too dangerous and i don't want you getting lost again." Rias told Sophie.

"But i can do this! I know i can!" Sophie said

"Sophie, listen to me please! What if you get lost again? Someone might take you away!" Rias pointed out

"..." sophie remained

"Rias, allow me to escort Sophie. I shall protect her if things get worse." Lailah asked

"I don't know. I don't feel alright putting Sophie in danger, Especially when this place has a powerful hellion in it." Rias said unsurely

"I assure you nothing will happen to her on my watch." Lailah assured

"F-fine..." rias agreed reluctantly

So, Sophie and Lailah left the inn and made their way towards the castle. When they arrived at the castle, the knights stopped her.

"Only Official business only and no kids allowed either." The knight told Sophie harshly

"But i need to see Euclid!" Sophie told the knight urgently

"Get lost!" The other knight told Sophie harshly

"I'm the daughter of the Shepard!" Sophie told the knights.
