Chapter 5:corruption in the government.

2 weeks have passed since rias became the Shepard. She managed to help some people around ladylake and help the lord of the land, Uno, regain his confidence. When Uno, regained his confidence, he able to give the land his bless, thus purging the malevolence from the city. Although, there are still other places that require the Shepard's help.

Meanwhile at the Tiny dragons inn...

"So how does it feel to be Rossweisse's employee, serafall?" Rias asked

"It's great to be honest." Serafall admitted

"That's good." Rias told her

"It was hard at first, because it felt i didn't know what i was doing but, as the days went by, i got the hang of it." Serafall explained

"I guess the same could be said for me because i felt the same way when i became the Shepard." Rias mentioned

"Heh... maybe." Serafall agreed

(Door opening.)

"Sh-Shepard Rias!" Lucina said urgently as she entered, panting harshly

"Lucina? What are you doing here?" Rias asked concerned

"Euclid.... someone tried to Assassinate him!" Lucina answered in shock

"What!? When was this?!" Rias wondered in shock

"Just now, an assassin showed up and tried to take his life. He tried to protect himself but ended up getting stabbed. When i went outside, i saw him on the ground in a pool of his own blood, i managed to get him inside his house and got a doctor but... whether he'll be fine or not is on my mind. Please, i want you to help me find out who tried to murder him!" Lucina explained  with sorrow

"Rias... an attack on someone you know. You don't think..." ophis suggested

"That it's lunarre? Possibly. This seems like his handy work." Rias agreed

"I wouldn't be so sure. It could have been a mercenary for all we know." Lailah suggested

"If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, how ever improbable, must be the truth." Rias quoted

"Howe's egg principle." Lailah noticed.

"All we need to do, is find the impossible, after that, we can find our answer." Rias explained

"But how?" Gasper wondered

"That's the tricky part." Rias answered

"Excuse me." Said a knight

"What is it?" Rossweisse asked

"Shepard, you and your companions are invited to the castle, this evening. By the request of Elgin Coe." The knight explained

The knight leaves

"Elgin Coe?" Rias wondered

"The head of Ladylake's new council. He believes that hyland should rule both rolance and Sloyia. The nobles disagree with his idea because it lead to all out war." Lucina explained

"What's the plan?" Ophis wondered

"I'm not sure. This could be a trap." Rias answered unsurely

"Elgin has always hated Euclid and his connections with the people. The people are always backing euclid up while they scorn at the new council. Some have even wanted a vote to evict Elgin out of the council, so that Euclid could become the new head." Lucina mentioned

"What do you want to do Rias?" Lailah asked

Lailah notices that rias is in deep thought.

"We should go there and hear him out. Maybe try and reason with him." Rias suggested
