{For @Jade-the-Wise }
There she stood across the ballroom, her hair falling in white waves down her shoulders. Her figure sheathed in a crimson dress that flowed to the floor and hung off his shoulders, her mask was silver and simple as it gently hugged her face. He, in his black suit and golden mask, couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked so beautiful and so alone it almost pained him. He walked up to her and bowed slightly. "May I have this dance?" the golden haired man asked, holding his hand out. The woman smiled softly, and couldn't help but notice the edge of a scar underneath his right eye. He looked familiar but she couldn't place it. "I would love to." She said as she took his hand.
He pulled her close and she couldn't help but blush and smile. He wrapped his arm around her waist and began dancing with her, like he had years ago. She smiled as the man danced with her, but her heart was heavy with the memory of her lost love. He danced much like the man before her. She smiled a little sadly as she looked down. "Is something wrong?" he asked quietly as he spun her. "It's nothing to worry about kind sir." she said with a smile. "I hate to see such a beautiful woman so sad, please tell me." he said. She sighed a little, "Dancing here with you, reminds me of someone I lost years ago." she simply said. "Who was he?" "He was the love of my life." She said as her eyes watered. The music stopped and they announced it was time to remove their masks.
She removed her silver mask and she was even more beautiful than she remembered. "I would do anything to see him again." she said quietly and he couldn't help but smile as he slid the golden mask off. She gasped up at him and the tears slowly started to fall. "Laxus!" he smiled and pulled her close. "I'm sorry iv been away so long Mirajane." He said as she cried into his chest. She shook her head and looked at him with one of the brightest smiles. "Your home now. That's all that matters" He wiped her eyes and planted a soft kiss to her lips that were salty with her tears. "Mirajane, iv wanted to ask this for a long time." He said as he pulled away. She looked at him and gasped slightly as he knelt in front of her. He pulled a small white box from his coat and opened it, revealing a diamond ring. "Will you marry me?" she sniffed and smiled. "Of course I will!" she cried. People around them cheered as he slipped the ring in her finger and kissed her deeply. That night they held each other close, and danced till dawn.
