It was a normal day in Fairy Tail, that is, until a sobbing rain woman bolted from the guild. The clear sky outside was now clouded and rain began to fall. "What's wrong with Juvia?" Mira asked worriedly as she looked to where Juvia had been sitting. Her eyes narrowed in anger as they landed on a certain ice mage. However, before she could move, someone beat her to the punch.
Literally.
Gajeel had stormed over to Gray, his fist connecting to the ice mages chin. Before Gray could stand, Gajeel lifted him off his feet by his shirt. "What in the hell did you do to Juvia?" He snarled. For a moment, he was Kurogane of Phantom again, his anger was rolling off of him in waves. Gajeel didn't wait for him to answer as he shoved him towards the door. "Go fix it!" He snarled. Gray scowled at the iron dragon, but made his way out the door, rubbing his sore chin. The rain soaked him almost immediately as he made his way outside, trying to scan the area for Juvia.
He didn't have to look hard as his eyes caught sight of the heaviest part of the down fall. Gray followed it, walking deeper into the storm where the rain was so heavy he could barely see in front of him. He found her, sitting with her knees pulled to her chest on the small foot bridge over the river. The water was already over flowing and lapping at the girls waist, dangerous even for the water mage. "Juvia!" He called over the roaring water. Juvia flinched slightly at his voice, "Leave Juvia alone Gray!" Gray flinched slightly before he carefully made his way onto the bridge. The water rushing over his feet nearly knocked him over, but he stayed standing.
"Come on Juvia, let me talk to you!" He called again. The rain only seemed to fall harder. "Why?! You hate Juvia! You said it yourself!" She choked out. Her words hit him like knives as she threw his own words back at him. Yes he had said that, and saying them had nearly killed him. He thought keeping her at a distance would keep him from losing her. "I lied Juvia!" He shouted as he got closer. Juvia got to her feet, nearly losing her footing in the rushing water. "Your just saying that!" She sobbed.
Gray finally reached the sobbing woman and gripped her arm, pulling her close. Juvia struggled in his hold but he didn't let go. "Let me speak!" But Juvia kept struggling on his hold, and Gray lost his footing. He clung to her as they both tumbled into the river, the water quickly carrying them away. Gray thought quickly, freezing the water around them and creating a gyser to carry them above the river. The rain had lessened, and Juvia was clutching his jacket, her hands trembling.
"I'm sorry Juvia." Gray said quietly, causing Juvia to look up at him. "I thought keeping you at a distance would keep you safe... Keep you from disappearing like Ur and Ultear... I made a huge mistake." He looked down at her as more tears welled in her eyes. Gray gently cupped her cheek, wiping away the moisture. "I love you Juvia, and I shouldn't have pushed you away. Can you ever forgive me?" He asked quietly. More tears fell from Juvias eyes but her smile was radiant, and the rain stopped. She flung her arms around Grays neck, "Of course Gray-sama! Juvia loves you too!" She sobbed happily and Gray smiled, clutching his rain woman close to him. Never again would he push her away.
{I'm not good with Gruvia so sorry if this was a let down}
