30. Love Is Not Over

Hi Babe! Can you meet me at the roof top at lunch?

I smile at my phone, wanting to see Jungkook again. I feel like I haven't seen him around often, but I still do get the coffee or pastries in the morning. The sticky notes have changed though. I think the last few sticky notes I had gotten just had 'Good Morning :)' on them.

I walk towards my classroom, looking at my table once I have gotten in. My usual coffee wasn't there. I just though, maybe Jungkook just didn't have the time today, so I let it be.

Jungkook and I are doing great! I guess. I haven't seen him smile though. His usual bunny teeth smile. I've noticed him trying to push himself to smile at me sometimes. Maybe he's having a difficult time with school?

The truth is, I really do feel happier with Jungkook around me. I feel so safe around him and I feel like I have someone to trust. I really do like Jungkook.

"Hey! (Y/n)! Come eat lunch with us!" I look at my friend who patted the seat next to her and signaled me to eat with her.

"No way bitch! I have plans." Smirking, I walk away going straight for the stairs that led to the rooftop. Taking my time climbing the stairs.

Once I have opened the door, I see Jungkook staring at the sky, one of his hands in his pockets and his back faced towards me. I sigh and walk towards him, actually feeling nervous for what he was going to say.

I called after him and speedily walked towards him, hugging him from behind. Taking out his hand from his pocket, he holds mine and slowly removes it from his waist. I look at him confused, while he turned around, holding a warm cup of coffee.

"(Y/N)... I can't do this anymore..."

"What? Bringing me coffee everyday? You know you don't have to? Right?" It was obvious that I knew what he meant, but I just couldn't let go of him.

"You know what I mean (y/n)." He looked at me dead serious and gave me the cup of coffee that was still warm due to his hands.

"This is the last cup I am giving you." I take the coffee and held it tightly while tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

"(Y/n), you know, love isn't over... for both of us in fact. You just haven't found the right one yet. There is more yet to come. Who knows, maybe you'd meet the most unexpected man in the most unexpected place."

"(Y/n), you know, I could still be your friend. I'm just a call away and I'll always be there for you..." tears threatened to fall as I vulnerably take a step or two backwards.

"But... Jungkook, why would you want to break up with me? I mean, we were happy! We liked each other! You made me feel good." Everything that we had together was flooding through my mind as I find ways to make hims stay.

"You were happy! Have you even ever thought about what I felt all these days that we were together? You left me alone most nights and wouldn't even bother calling me that you left somewhere, when I'm here waiting for you! I always asked you if you wanted to be with me, but you're always with your friends and don't even bother making time for me!"

"I really tried, (y/n). I thought that I was the one to finally change you; that I would be able to make you be more friendly or even consider that those people who you play with have feelings too, yet I see you there, pushing someone against the lockers. I think you even forgot that you were dating me in those times."

"I don't want to think that dating you was a mistake, because you really did make me happy (y/n)." I watched as he left me there standing, holding the last cup of coffee that he was to give me.

I don't know whether I'm going to post an epilogue for this or not, because I already started, but I found it too difficult. I'll try though! if it gets high demands.
