Calum and Ashton sat silently in the living room, unable to look at eachother.

"W-we can't do this," Ashton whispered. "Not to my brother." Calum nodded in agreement.

"I know," he whispered. "We just need to focus on finding him and then keeping him safe..." Ashton nodded before finally looking over at the boy.

"I-I do love you..."

"I love you too." He sighed softly and rested his head on his shoulder. A sudden knock sounded at the front door, causing their hearts to skip a beat. "Who's that?" Calum asked as Ashton made his way over to the door.

"Maybe it's Detective Sangster..." he peeked out of the window before opening the door.

"Noah?" Calum asked, standing up behind Ashton.

"Who?" Ashton asked, seeing how uncomfortable they both were.

"Uh, hi," the guy said awkwardly, staring at Calum. "I was in Calum and Luke's class... I was just wondering if there was anything I could do for you guys..."

"I think we're fine," Calum said as they stared eachother down.

"Right... okay," he said quietly. "Sorry then." Before Ashton could say anything, the boy turned and walked back down the walk way.

"Who was that and why don't you like him?" Ashton asked. Calum closed the door and leaned up against it.

"Noah Centineo... he was Luke's lab partner I think during junior year, and then they started hanging out. And since it's Luke, Noah obviously started developing a crush on him and at one point had him thinking that I was cheating on him."

"Really? I didn't hear about any of this."

"After Luke realized that I wasn't cheating on him and that we were fine, we never really talked about it again... and he never really talked to Noah again either. "

"Well... do you think it's possible that Luke was starting to like him too?" Calum walked over and sat on the couch, pulling his legs underneath him as he shrugged. "Besides, why would he even listen to Noah and believe you were cheating?"

"Noah told him that I kissed him..."

"Why would he say that?" Calum stared awkwardly down at the floor.

"Because I did..."

"Can I please sit up front with you?"

"No."

"Please? I won't try anything..."

"No." Luke groaned and crossed his arms over his chest before getting an idea suddenly.

"Remember that time I escaped from the back and you almost didn't even notice?" Michael stiffened up and looked at the boy.

"Fine..."

Luke stared at Michael as he drove, thinking of a way he could get out. It was just past midnight, and Luke's anxiety was at its peak.

"You're staring," he whispered. Luke turned away and looked at the floor.

"Sorry," he whispered. He glanced back over with the same look of hate in his eyes.

"I like it," Michael said, smiling over at him and grabbing the boys hand. Luke looked outside and saw they were passing through an unfamiliar area.

"Where are we?" He asked quietly, staring at the unfamiliar landmarks.

"We're outside Perth," he said, changing lanes. Luke's breath hitched in his throat. Perth was in the other side of the country.

"Where are we going?"

"I can't tell you yet." Luke began seeing the city signs on the side of the roadway, and he noticed also that there was a police car posted every few kilometers. He sat up in his seat and saw a huge flashing billboard.

"Michael," he whispered breathlessly. Michael turned to see it, slamming on his brakes as he pulled off to the median. Both of their faces were broadcast over the billboard, Michael had the word wanted above his mugshot and Luke had the word missing above his school photo.

"N-no," he whispered. "They're everywhere... w-what do I do? G? What do I do?"

"G?" Luke asked, looking over to the frantic boy.

"Drive like there's no tomorrow, baby brother," G said, appearing in the backseat. "Better go quick... looks like officer friendly is approaching." Michael looked ocer and saw a police car pulling out from its spot, beginning to make its way over.

"H-hold on, Luke," he said, pulling out and continuing down the highway. Luke saw the cop car driving behind him before getting a sudden idea.

"M-Mikey, what's that?" He asked, pointing out the driver side window. Michael looked as Luke reached over and grabbed the wheel, pulling it as hard as he could. The car swerved and Michael gasped loudly, hitting Luke as a reflex and knocking the boy unconscious. The police car began flashing its lights as Michael tried to gain control, but he slid off of the road and crashed into another parked police car. The SUV flipped onto its top beside the police car.

"Shit!" Michael shouted. "What did you do that for?" He asked, staring out the window. When the boy didn't answer him, he looked over and saw him laying limp. "Luke?" He asked. He quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and dropped to the roof of the SUV. He saw a stream of blood running down one side of Luke's face from hitting the shattered window. There was a spot of blood standing prominently on the window as it held together. "Luke!" He shouted, pulling him down and laying him on the floor. "Don't be dead, please don't be dead... I love you."

"Are you alright in there?" Someone shouted from outside. Michael could see the flashing of police lights through the shattered windows. Michael grabbed the gun from the glove compartment and loaded it quickly, but when he looked back to Luke who was unconscious, he sighed and put it back.

"H-help!" Michael called. "Help! He's unconscious!" The door pried open and he was pulled out of the car and pinned down on the ground.

"Michael Clifford, you're under arrest for the kidnapping of Luke Hemmings..." Michael tuned the cop out as he stared up from the ground at his broken vehicle. One of the police pulled Luke's limp body from the vehicle and before laying him on the ground.

"We need some medics!" He shouted. "We're losing him!" Michael felt everything freeze as he was pulled up and shoved into the back of a police car. "Come on kid," the cop said, kneeling over him and beginning to preform CPR. Luke Hemmings couldn't ever catch a break.
