Chernoa's pov

I ran down the hallway, away from the armed zombies. Xander better not die, or that would be another death on my shoulders and I am so not ready for it. We turned a corner and almost ran into Alden and Charmaine. I held my sword tight, jumping at Alden.

"I'll find the master!" Rie ran past us as Chyann used her katana to stop Charmaine from attacking her. Alden jumped back, dodging my sword, and swung a hard punch at my gut, sending me sprawling backwards. "Are you ready to see your friend again?" I didn't need to ask to know he meant Lionel. I roared, slashing wildly at him in anger. He smirked, using my anger against me, disarming me and pushing me against the ground.

"For someone who survived the zombie apocalypse up until now, you really are weak." He laughed. "No wonder your friend had to sacrifice himself for you and your pathetic group. His sacrifice must have been in vain,"

"You..." I groaned, my stomach hurting from his attacks. I shook my head, ignoring the pain. "You talk too much." I looked up at him, my gaze hard and cold. I swung an uppercut at an unsuspecting Alden, knocking him off his feet. He collapsed onto the ground, rubbing his sore jaw. I picked up my sword, as he kicked at my leg. He landed the kick, spinning around, locking me in a chokehold.

His arm tightened against my neck, dark spots swimming around my vision. I clawed at his arm, slowly losing air. I wouldn't die. Not like this. I swung my sword behind, stabbing him in the leg. He howled in pain, falling to the ground and releasing me. I collapsed, taking deep breaths. He groaned and grabbed at his wounded leg, moaning in agony. I stood up, running down the hallway where they came from. Maybe I would find Wayne there...

Chyann's pov

Rie ran past us, and I swung my katana at Charmaine to stop her from attacking her. I gulped as Charmaine started attacking me. The rapid sword movements as I rushed to defend was making me slowly losing my ground. Rie had told me that Charmaine was a professional at sword fighting, and that was the only thing that flashed across my mind as I fought with her.

"Die!" Charmaine shouted, almost stabbing me in the chest. I quickly fell back, trying to retreat and think this through. If I needed to win this, playing fair wasn't in the guidelines.

"You're so screwed now!" I faked, looking at the empty hallway behind Charmaine. She turned around, and I struck from behind, tackling her to the ground. Before I could kill her, she moved aside, and I stabbed her shoulder. I quickly stood up, as she retreated, my katana left behind.

Xander's pov

I picked off all the armed zombies after a long fight. "How did they make zombies carry weapons?" pulled out my knife from the final zombie's head, trying to clean off the blood from my shirt. How were the rest doing? I ran down the hallway that they went and saw Chyann standing there, doing nothing. "Where are the rest?" I asked her.

"Rie went to kill the master, and Chernoa went to find Wayne." She said. "Okay." I quickly ran off. Did Rie get the master yet?

After walking down a series of hallways, I finally reached a few rooms. I walked into one and saw Rie and the master engaged in a sword fight, Rie evidently losing. The master was half machine or rather 75% machine. It was terrifying. Swallowing, I dashed forward to assist my cousin.

"You. I'll settle you when I finish off the girl." He prepared to swing the sword down onto her head when he saw me. "Never!" I shouted and ran forward, grabbing my cousin's arm. "Let's get out of here!" I screamed, slamming the door shut.

"We don't know how long it can hold him off. Best we get out of here and hope he rest will do the same!" Rie shouted.

Chernoa's pov

'Is Wayne there?' I whispered to myself, walking past a few rooms with nothing but beds inside. I stopped dead in my tracks. Jacckie was standing watch against the door. 'Great.' I walked up to her. Wayne was definitely behind that door.

She looked at me, and I saw it again. The sad stare that she would give me, but that was quickly shut off, replaced with a cold merciless stare again. I gulped. "Jacc, I don't want to do this-I don't." I was interrupted as she slashed her sword at me. I dodged it, slashing back at her. She anticipated it, attacking at the part of me I had left defenceless.

I fell to the ground, my side bleeding from the wound. She slashed at me again, making me roll to the side. "We were friends!" I called at her, but she ignored me. As she stood over me, prepared to strike the final blow, I shouted again, "I saved your life!" She halted. "Don't do this..." I looked into her eyes. "Where's the Jacckie I know?" Before she could say anything, Chyann appeared and tackled Jacckie onto the ground.

Turning to the side I saw Wayne. "Oh hi." Wayne said, lying down on a cage. "Wayne!" I swung my sword at the metal bar, denting it. I swung a few more times, breaking a few more bars apart. Wayne got out of the cage, walking out of the room. "Took you guys long enough." He smiled.

I returned the smile, then I turned to see Chyann knock Jacckie out. "Don't kill her." I warmed . Chyann rolled her eyes, "You can't do this forever."

"Oh yes I can." We laughed as we stepped over the unconscious Jacckie.
