Chernoa's pov
Grabbing my sword, I mouthed to the gang, 'So what do we do?'
"We fight, duh?" Wayne readied his bow and readied an arrow. "Yea, he doesn't look friendly at all. With two katanas. That's scary." Chyann drew her katana.
"Okay. Lionel, you and Wayne stay behind and do far range shooting. Chyann and I will go forward and do close combat with the dude. Alright?" I instructed. The boys nodded. "C'mon, Chyann let's go." I held my sword with two hands and jutted my chin to the dude with the mask.
As we circled the masked person, our weapons pointed at the person, ready to attack. The person was merely eyeing us, not making a single movement.
"Damn it this is fucking boring! I'm just going to shoot!" I heard Wayne's shouts.
Twang! The arrow was shot, aimed deadly accurate at the masked figure. But the person effortlessly raised his katana and sliced the arrow into half. I chewed on my lower lip as I saw the arrow fall to the ground.
"Shit." I heard Wayne cussing. This person must have some sick skills in order to do that. "Guys, don't attack on impulse. This person is better than we think." Lionel warned us from behind.
Suddenly the person's head snapped towards my direction and our eyes met. A wave of nostalgia hit me. That pair of eyes. It was so familiar. As if I had seen it so many times before, yet I could not quite put my finger on it.
The person blinked. Then he rushed at me, katana raised above his head. "SHIT CHERNOA HE'S GOING TOWARDS YOU! OMG OMG OMG PROTECT YOURSELF DON'T DIE ON ME!" Chyann's worried screams piercing my ear drums. "YEA NO SHIT I DON'T WANNA DIE?" I shrieked back and raised my sword to protect my head.
The two cold metals met each other with a loud clang. I almost flinched at the impact. But the person was still calm and collected, continuing his attack.
We exchanged blows, and I was getting tired. Damn I needed to work on my stamina. "HEY CHYANN QUIT STANDING THERE WILL YOU?!" I shouted, as I dodged the next hit. "Oh yes! I'm coming!" Chyann ran forward and was about to abuse the dude, when the dude turned around and kicked Chyann in the gut. "Well you just made me angry!" Chyann growled, recollecting her posture. Now it was them who were exchanging blows.
Running back to Wayne, I grabbed his bow and arrow. "You and Lionel are useless!" I hissed. "Well sorry for being afraid of shooting you." Sarcasm dripped from Wayne and Lionel's words. I glared at them and aimed the arrow at the person who was still busy trying to beat Chyann.
Inhaling deeply, I prayed, Please let this arrow hit him. With a bated breath I released the arrow.

"Fuck!" The person knelt down and clutched his leg. The arrow had shot his leg. "YES! MY AIMING IS ON POINT MAN!" I whooped and ran forward to tie the person up with ropes. "Let's keep this person hostage. Lionel you in charge of guarding him." I said as I wiped my sweat. "Are we gonna unmask the person?" Wayne asked.
"Yea sure." I shrugged. The person was obviously struggling, trying not to let Chyann remove her mask.
My back was turned to face the person. And I heard gasps of shock. "Errr Chernoa? It's not a 'he' but a 'she'." Chyann mumbled.
Turning around to take a look at the person, I froze. Shock was slowly overtaking my mind.
"J-jacckie?"
Her face was expressionless, but I could see it in her eyes. She did not want to acknowledge me, but there was guilt in her eyes. I frowned. Why would Jacckie attack us. "Make her talk." I whispered to Chyann.
"Okay listen up bitch you better tell us why you're here." Chyann barked. Jacckie remained silent. "START TALKING!" Chyann was about to kick her when I stopped Chyann. "Don't." I eyed Chyann. "Why not?! She kicked me in the damn stomach just now!" Chyann protested. "No. This person is my Best Friend. Don't hurt her." I sighed.
Jacckie stared at me with a black expression. "I don't know what you're talking about." Her words cut through my heart like a knife. I looked at the girl's eyes, willing to search for any signs of guilt.
But this time there were none. She had locked me out again.
And it hurt.
