"Where am I?""This is my house." The 'Guardian' guy pushed my wheelchair into the mansion. The lounging area has extravagant decor and trendy furniture. He must be rich...
His wealth is also suggested by his branded suit, tie and pointed shoes.
He drugged me so that I couldn't move freely. The effects of them are still strong; so strong, that I can't tell if they're going to wear off anytime soon. But, to save his back from carrying me, he left a wheelchair in the boot of his fancy car. Weirdly enough, it's quite comfy so I don't really mind it. Lol.
"So, do you have any questions?"
"What am I supposed to ask?"
"About your cousin; why you're here; who I am and stuff like that." His face remains expressionless while he speaks.
"What do you know about my cousin?"
"Do you remember that time when he went on that two week 'break' when he was your age. I'm sure he must have told you."
"Yes, I remember."
"Well, that wasn't a break, but a week long procedure that he had to go through in order to change."
"So that's what happened..." Over that period, Arthur came back looking completely different; like a supermodel- it was an amazing transformation and he never told me how he managed it. So it was because of this week long procedure?! "What happened in the other week?"
"Ah, yes. After the procedure had finished he needed one week of recovery."
"Right..."
"He changed, and said that he promised you the same procedure as a gift. Isn't that right?"
"I guess... But I was expecting some kind of extreme workout and diet!"
"You think a diet did that to him? No. You think someone can change like that, in only two weeks? Let me show you where you'll be spending your time during the first week period."
"I'm clueless." I tried to hold onto the arms of the wheelchair as he pushed me, but was proved useless, as I'm still completely limp.
"After the procedure; it's not your body. Well, it is, but with the amount that it gets modified; it may as well be a completely new one."
"So it's basically like plastic surgery."
"You should think of it as a much more advanced version, only used on those who need it and deserve it. The success rates of this procedure are much higher than that of plastic surgery as well as the results being much prettier. The procedure, amongst professionals, is known to give a very natural result, unlike plastic surgery." It definitely sounds like this is worth thinking about...
"How long do I have, to think about it?" I should discuss this with my mum before I make any life-changing decisions.
"You don't. And there's no choice. There is a 100% chance that Ms. Park will say no to the procedure. Do you think a mother would want her son to change his appearance so much that he was unrecognizable?" He showed me an intimidating white room with quilted walls and an expensive, bed-chair that looks like it's been taken out of a fancy dental practice. Along with it, was a mobile, metal tray on wheels with various pieces of hostile equipment, but what stood out most was this metallic, tube structure at the head of the chair but was long enough to fit the whole length of it
"Unrecognizable?!" My eyes started to shut without my consent and they ached at the effort I put into trying to keep them open.
"Good night, Sam." And with just his finger and thumb, he gently pulled down my eyelids.
