"Vic... Are you sure this is the right house? The kid's family must be rich. Maybe his dad is the CEO of a big company?""I dunno mum, maybe." I walked up the stairs of the intimidating porch and rung the bell.
This house is huge! That's probably why the guy thought that he could get away with stealing my girl.
Bastard.
The double door entrance opened, revealing a man with dark hair and dark eyes. I don't think I've met him before, but why does he look so familiar? To be honest, I had the same feeling when I met his son yesterday...
"Hello? How may I help you?" He seemed unimpressed with our appearance.
"Hello," mum brought her clutchbag to her chest, "we're here to talk about your son. You see, my son [Victor] had to visit the hospital yesterday after your son punched him... In the nose."
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that. If you come in, I can get the maids to sort out some afternoon tea, while we wait for Eddy to join us and then we can make an agreement to pay as an apology for his behaviour." He opened the doors wider as he welcomed us in.
"I could have sworn that you said the boy's name was Arthur?!" Mum whispered under her breath. "So why did I just hear his dad call him Eddy?!"
But, I'm pretty sure he said that his name was Arthur Park. Although I do think it's strange that he told me his name so easily...

I chuckled as I swiped the ball from Caspian's grip, dribbled it towards the hoop and faultlessly, completed a lay-up.
"I beat you again! (signed)".
"It's hardly an achievement, Ed; I'm crap at basketball. (signed)".
After we played tabletennis for the most of yesterday evening, it was agreed that we play basketball this morning. Being able to play with someone outside of college makes it a lot easier to remember the rules. Even if it's only one-on-one basketball, It's a good way to remember the basic dos and don'ts .
Caz threw me a bottle of water which I gulped down in one; that isn't surprising as we must have been playing for at least a couple of hours.
"So when are you planning on messaging Lily about the date? (signed)". Caspian smirked mischievously.
"It's not going to be a date, you know it's not. (signed)".
"Whatever you say! (signed)". He offered his hand for me to get up.
"Excuse me, Edward, but you're needed by the the Guardian." The maid stood on the other side of the hall fiddling with her fingers. "You might need to clean up and find something more suitable to wear, as it is a meeting."
"Okay, thank you-" I looked down at her nametag, "Natasha, for letting me know." I didn't know a Natasha worked here, she must be new.
If it's a meeting, I should wear at least something kind of formal. Any way, I'll decide after I shower. But, I haven't been given much of a clue.
The meeting is with Gunner, but the fact that it's called a meeting would mean that other people are involved in this, otherwise it would be an appointment and I wouldn't have to wash and change.
I settled on the half-gelled-back look for my hair and a pair of grey suit trousers and a white shirt. What Caspian would call the incomplete formal. Is it too much if I have the matching black shoes? What the heck. The real question is; 'why not?'
