I can't stop thinking about what happened yesterday after school. Mum looked terrible.I don't care what Gunner, nor what James says; I need to talk to mum.
I want to help her. I want to comfort her. I want to protect her."Hey!" Luke snapped his fingers in my face. "What's up with you? Stop daydreaming."
"What's wrong with daydreaming? You're only on your phone." I yawned.
"There's nothing wrong with daydreaming, but listening to girls talking about how beautiful you are, while you do, is super annoying."
Weirdly, when I looked around, I could have sworn that a few of the female students had drool dripping from the sides of their mouth; like a weird cartoon.
So today, Caspian left me to my own devices to put an outfit together. A black t-shirt, blue jeans and red hoodie paired with a pair of black 'Cougar' sneakers.
To be honest, the hoodie from Gunner might be the cosiest sweatshirt I've ever worn.
"Anyway, what session do you have first?"
"We have maths with Miss Montana? We missed her lesson yesterday because of the introduction class, isn't it just one of the classrooms next door?"
"Mate, you're so lucky! She's the hottest teacher in the school!! I'd kill to have her as my maths tutor."
"No you wouldn't. You're completely over-exaggerating." I chuckled at his vibrant hand gestures.
"I'm not!!" He turned to face Caz. "Caspian, don't you believe me? Actually, don't answer that. The both of you can tell me at break; that I was right."
After putting away our college sport kits in the assigned yellow lockers. We walked into maths, but the teacher hadn't arrived yet.
Sadly, there weren't two free seats next to each other, so Caz and I had to split up.
I don't recognise anyone; I'm not even sure if any of these people have been in any of my previous classes.
Silence grew as light taps of her high heels hit the floor.
"Morning class." She smiled flirtily. Miss Montana wore a short, tartan, pencil skirt and tight blouse, hardly hiding her glamorous figure.
"Edward-" a girl sat at the desk next to mine whispered, "if I was you, I'd pull your hood over your face and keep your head on the desk otherwise Miss will come for you."
"Huh? I can't do that, I'll get told off."
"Well don't blame me if she pursues you."
"She's a flipping teacher!!" I yelled quietly.
The teacher is, in fact, extraordinary looking...
She has long, black wavy hair which melted against her tanned skin. To be honest, she looks more like a famous singer than a teacher.
But, she looks about 25?
Out of the corner of my vision, I see that Caz is also wide-eyed, as are most of the boys. But her gaze is very focused too; focused on me.
"Teaching assistants aren't supposed sit with the students."
"I'm a student Miss; Edward Park? My friend and I should be on the register."
She scrolled through her computer. "I'm sorry, Edward, I was mistaken." She doesn't seem so bad... "You just look so mature for someone who's only in college."
