To say the least, I feel pretty awkward.

I'm so angry that this is how I'm reacting to the whole 'Lily wants Caspian's number' situation.

I should just ask him if that's okay.

I can't get away with not asking him as they'd both find out sooner or later, which will weaken their trust in me.

"I think she stopped it because she knew something was wrong about the attraction between you both." Luke slurped his vanilla milkshake through a straw.

"What do you mean?"

"Of course, she doesn't know, but she's been your first love since forever, and you are her dream prince who saved her from Victor, the evil butt-head."

"You make it sound like a fantasy." I spoke sarcastically.

"Because that's what it is!! You've both built these ideas of what it should be like. She's realised that now and is being realistic by letting you go."

"She's not 'letting me go'. She's just giving me some space."

"Right..."

Caspian was pushed into the lounge on his temporary wheelchair, before picking himself up and dropping on the sofa.

"Hey guys. (signed)". Caz reaches for a biscuit.

"Hey Caz. I have something to ask on Lily's behalf. (signed)".

"Go on. (signed)".

"Could I pass on your number to her? (signed)".

"Of course, you don't even have to ask. (signed)". He munched on his second biscuit.

"Okay then. By the way, you can't come with us. (signed)".

"To what? The meeting with the sharks? I need to come; how can it just be the two of you, against a gang. (signed)".

"What do you think Luke? Should Caz come with us to meet the sharks?" I folded my arms.

"I'm not picking sides, but I think it would be safer if you didn't come Caz. Plus, if anything did go wrong, at least we'd have you here."

You could see through Caspian's eyes, that he felt a little betrayed and useless. But, it really just wouldn't be practical if he came with us, particularly as his health is so bad that he can hardly hold his own weight.

"While you're out, the both of you must give me constant updates on everything, otherwise, I'll assume the worst. (signed)".

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. (signed)".

The next day, Luke and I called a taxi, leaving Caspian back at the house.

"I couldn't really tell what you guys were saying, but it felt really tense in there. Is everything okay between you two?" Luke got in the cab first.

"Caz and I are fine." I followed him and shut the door behind me.

"That was a quick response."

I ignored him.

I took note that the driver isn't the one that I've been driven by before, in fact this guy is noticeably younger- maybe in his twenties?

"The Rizzo on the High Street is where you're going today? Just to confirm. May I also ask if you have a preference as to which route I take?" He smiled.
