-(Julie's point of view)-

He came up behind me and began swaying and singing to me. Somehow we ended up dancing in the kitchen to that song. His voice carried me off to whole other world, where we were the only ones in the universe. I rested my head on his strong shoulder and swayed steadily with him to the drifting music. I kept laughing and he would stumble around, trying to get his footing right.

At the end of the night I felt like I was floating on a cloud with Noah. I was home with him. And that’s how I wanted to stay. For Forever.

After the song he led me to the upstairs couch and snuggled in with me and we watched Titanic. At the end I was crying pretty hard. I leaned up for comfort from Noah, but he was sound asleep. I sat up and let out my sobs trying to be silent. I heard Noah sit up in the blankets and yawn. I turned away so he wouldn’t see me. He turned my shoulder and let me cry into his chest.

“It’s ok! Shh Shh…Shh baby It’s ok it’s just a movie! Hey…Are you ok? Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“I didn’t want to.”

“Awww, Shh it’s alright baby, I’ve g-got you.”

“No I’m fine really, I’m good.”

“Ar-are you sure? You want me to stay up with you?”

“No really I’m fine, Just go back to sleep.”

“Mkay, night.” He whispered kissing my cheek and lying back down. He muttered to himself a few seconds and fell back into his blissful dreams. That’s when I realized something, Noah was plastered. He smelt like alcohol. It would explain the way he had been stumbling and giggling while we danced that night. I nudged him awake.

He grumbled, "Buuhuh Whaat is it?"

“Noah! Are you…are you drunk baby?”

“Psssshhhhh Whaaaa?? I think don’t so. Hah h-hey I think you and me and you need to jus... get it on! I mean…I love you and (he covered his mouth as if to hold in barfing) you love me. Two people in luuuuv should make luuuuuv!”

“Noah, I’ll be downstairs…just try to sleep it off.”

“C’mon babe! Just like in the movies! I swear I’ll be gentle... Jus C’mon Jules! Stay here with me.”

“Noah I said no, let go of my arm babe.”

I struggled to get out of Noah’s grip, but he held on tighter and grabbed my other arm just as hard.

“Why are you…being such a stick in the mud? You know for a girl that says she loves me, you look like your scared or something.Look I promise we’ll just…”

“Noah you’re hurting me!”

“Jules, jus stop fighting it,… relax.”

He said louder trying to get me on the couch. I pulled harder out of his grip but he just kept mumbling something under his breath and yanked me down. I didn’t know who this guy was, it’s like he transformed into a whole new person, a clumsy, arrogant, bumbling zombie.

“Jules you just look so good tonight…” He muttered as he thrust his tongue in my mouth. He tasted sour and bitter like the alcohol he downed all night. He pushed me down underneath him and tried pulling my dress up over my head. Reaching for my skirt, I cried out and used all the strength I had left to get out from under him, but he was too strong. All I could do was plead and beg him to leave me alone. This was not Noah Roberts. Noah Roberts wouldn’t be drunk right now. Noah Roberts would wait for me, and make sure I was ok with this. Noah Roberts would never force me into anything.

With a smirk, this black-eyed monster felt up my dress and I slapped him across the face. He seemed unphased by my attempt to get free. Just as he was about to try again, he fell asleep. I felt relieved and felt warm tears gather at the rim of my eyes. I heaved his giant body off of me as best I could. I gathered my shoes and was out running down the stairs to leave this place.

What started out as a picture perfect night, turned into a fight against someone I thought would never need to protect myself from. I decided to go back over to the house and check on my parents. I know it sounds lame, but I wanted my mom. I ran down through the dim, candlelit living room. But before I could get out of the guest house, I heard a sound. There were footsteps in the kitchen. Someone was here?
