Chapter 6

[Mia's POV]

It's been a week since Alex and I have stayed in Justin's house. Ever since that day, we've been been over there often. I'm happy that I can trust Justin with my secret. He's been really trying to keep me away from Paul and I'm blessed to have a friend like him.

To be honest, I see Justin as a friend but I've been crushing on him since he laid eyes on me. He's my first friend so I wouldn't want to share my feelings that I have for him and ruin our relationship.

"Bitch, I'm going away on business and won't be back no time soon." Paul tells me and I nod. "What do you even do?" I whisper and he turns around, "Does It fucking matter? It's none of your business so fucking mind it!" he yells at me slaps me forcefully across my face.

Wincing from the pain he left out the house. I grab my phone and dail Justin's number, luckily Alex is sleep so he wouldn't hear none of that. "Hello?" I hear Justin say through the phone.

"Hey Justin, can you do me a favor? Please." I beg and he giggles, "Sure, what can I do for you."

"Can you watch Alex while I go to work?" I ask him hoping he can, "Of course. I'll come pick him up in 2 minutes." He says and I sign in relief, "Thank you, you're a life saver"

We hung up after we said bye. Just like he said, he got here in 2 minutes. The door bell rung and I answered it to Justin, "Hey" I smiled and hugged him "He's still sleep, uh, I don't know if you want to wake him or not." I led him to Alex's room. "Nah, let's wake him," he smiled.

Fuck, his smile is everything.

"Alex buddy, wake up. Your coming to my house for a while." Justin shook him and Alex instanly woke up and hugged Justin. "Mia, I can drive you to work. Okay?"

"Yeah. I got to get going now, so let's get going!" I said walking to his car and getting in it while Justin and Alex followed. Justin buckled Alex in and started the car.

"Uh, Mia I have to ask you a question later. What time do I pick you up?" Justin asked, "9 o'clock" I answered. "Alright, see you later." He hugged me and drove off.

Walking into the fro-yo place, I went straight to the back and changed into my uniform. Making my way to the cash regester and putting my hat on, I looked up to take my first costumers order and as soon as I locked eyes on the person I froze.

The one person I hoped never to see again is in my face smirking evilily at me.

Ted. My ex-best friend that betrayed me.
