Chapter 40 - Unbreakable

Roxie's POV

Darkness continued to surrounds me as I gain feeling of my body. My whole body screams in pain I struggle to open my eyes, after what seem like hours I was able to open them.
A lump in my throat as I take in my surroundings. It can't be... no this isnt possible I thought as I got to my feet.
I stood in front of the diner where I lost my emily. How is this here?? I made sure it was burnt to the ground but no it's still standing, the place looks abandoned. My thought came to a halt when a shadow went past the window.

I went to grab my gun rosie then I realized I was unarmed and still wearing the dress I wore to the ball its ripped, covered with dirt and blood. I slowly reach the door of the diner then pause waiting to see if I can hear anything. I could hear soft foot step which means whoever it is they are a the far end of the diner.
I approach slowly as I walk farther into the diner I see a women, her back is facing me her long brown hair is knotted in the back.
"Hey do you know what going on? This place is supposed to be destroyed." I say to the women.
"Roxie?" Says a familiar voice before I can a chance to ask how she knew my name, she turned to face me.
The whole world seemed to freeze as I look into her deep brown eyes. I feel tears run down my face as I look over her body.

"E-emily" I struggled to speak. She look like different then I remember her. She has bag under her eyes, her skin is paler and her once beautiful smile is replaced with a frown.
"How your... "
"Dead" she finished my sentence. I nod.
"I am dead roxie, you didnt protect me" my mind starts to race as I hear her words. I look closer to see blood and what looks to be a bullet wound above her heart. I was to shocked to see her that a didnt notice her.
"I-i" I tried to speak but honestly I had no clue what to say.

"You failed to protect me and now your failing to protect our daughter" she say this angry and disappointment in her voice.

"I did protect her I sold my soul so she  could live"
"You promised to always protect her. Roxie not to abandon her with your brother so you could run around acting like a physio killer"
"I didn't abandon yelena. She is safer with Cameron and his wife." I say raise my voice lightly.
"You would be able to protect her if you didnt become..." her voice trailed off

"Become what.... Emily" I pause "a monster. You dont think I dont know what I have become. I had no choice it was either this or let her die"
"No roxie. You could of completed your deal with Lucifer then live your life with our daughter like you promised. You became this hybrid monster for youself" emily yelled angry tears running down her face.
"I had to save lil..." before I could finish emily cut me off

"No you didnt someone else could of saved lily. Zander could of made a deal with his brother and you know that. You became a hybrid for yourself"
"No I..."
"Dont you dare lie to me. Admit it roxie. You like having the power you have. Admit it if you could go back to that moment you still choose to become this monster" she said after cutting me off again."admit it" she screams.

"Fine. Your right" I yelled then paused she stares at me with only sadness and disappointment in her eye. I begin to speak again her a lower voice.
"I like having power. I like knowing that no matter who or what I face I will be stronger. I was weak once and that cost me you. I wont make that mistake again emily. I can't"
