Chapter 18 - Always

Zanders POV

After mac left me in the darkness soul conference room. I sat there and thought about everything. Roxie is a lot more complex then I had thought. She has so much buried inside i need to get her to open up. But first i need to continue my responsibility, dad gave me a few days with roxie now I have to get back to work.

I drive back to the manor, as I enter the house I transform back to my hybrid self. Even though I only been a hybrid for a short time. I have noticed that i feel trapped, weak and disconnected fron everyone. When i am in my human form, when im in my true form i feel free, strong and most importantly i feel my connection with roxie and the other.

  Oscar follows me into roxie's office. He sits on the couch in her office, I am pretty sure roxie doesnt let him on the furniture but then again I'm not about to tell the a 400lb demon dog to get off the couch. He still scares the shit out of me but roxie loves him, so I'm trying my best to keep my mind open. Anyways i decide to let oscar be and make some phone calls.

After speaking with my father about how my sister and mother were. We talked about the black cobras, They are still having a problem with one of our casino's that my father runs in here new york. I make a couple calls trying to fix the issue. But then I am hit with pain along my back it feels as if someone was whipping me. I drop to my knees and call out for mac but i know he cant hear me and the pain is making it so i cant reach for him using your connection. Oscar seems to understand and runs off for help. Bringing mac back with him.

"What's going on" say mac with a worried look.
"I felt like I was being whipped, then the pain faded it still there but not as intense." I look at mac hoping he has some answers.
"You and roxie competed the bond which means you could be feeling her pain. She is in the under world with Lucifer possibly something in happening" mac said helping me back to my feet. Oscar whimpered and sat by my feet.
"When roxie made the deal with alfredo she mentioned that see could free alfredo from Lucifer deal but for a price" I said making a light bulb go off in both our heads.

"Can u transport us to roxie. I don't have that ability I am just a sire but you should of inherited most if not all of roxie's abilities"
"I can try I have only done it a few times all this roxie help I am still learning about my abilities and im not sure if i can travel that far with roxie's help."

I grab mac's hand and try to transport us. We see the flames start to surround us but then they vanish.

"No stay out of the underworld I will come to you after this is done" I hear roxie shout in my head.
"Roxie is blocking us, she said to stay here" I said letting go of Mac's hand and then hitting my fists on the desk. Oscar hops to his feet and start to Pace back and forth.

"Fuck, what are we supposed to do?" I say walking to the couch and hitting down.
" there is nothing we can do. Roxie will come home when she can."
" that not good enough" I yell letting my demon come to the surface my eyes turn red. Oddly enough oscar started to whimper when i became lose control but i didnt think much of it.

"She will be fine. Whatever she is doing she has to do alone"
"We are supposed to be mates. I am supposed to strong for her, protect her but I can't. I feel this bond been us , yet we know nothing of each other. How am I supposed to be a  proper husband if I can protect my wife."

"You both will get there. Remember roxie is new to this, She is used to being independent and alway having to be strong for everyone. She had to learn to fend for herself at a young age. Just give her time to learn what it means to have a mate and a husband." Mac says sitting beside me. We sit in silence watching Oscar paced back and forth after a bit it started to bother me i was about to tell him to sit when all at once he disappears into a ball of fire. We both stand up and walk to where oscar was stand.
