Little Children (Merome)

4. Bump

*Jerome's POV*

The teacher walked up to the front I the class and told us. "Ok guys, we're waiting on one student, continue whatever you were doing."

I sighed and walked around the class. I've already gotten everyone's named checked off but one. His name was 'Mitch'.

"COME ON MOM." I heard a loud voice boom through the hallways.

"It's not my fault we're late." I heard a womanly voice reply, which I assumed was the student's mom.

I went to the classroom's doorway to investimagate and slammed right into someone.

*Mitch's POV*

"COME ON MOM." I yelled as I ran through the carpeted hallways.

"It's not my fault we're late." She responded.

I was searching around for my classroom's room number and when I finally found it I took a sharp left and ran with all the speed I had in me.

When I was running through the door a boy popped out of no where and we ran into each another.

"Owie." I rubbed my head a the other boy stood up.

"Oh um, hey..." The boy said as he held his hand in front of me.

I looked up into his deep brown eyes and I think I zoned out a little bit because the boy bent down eye level to me and kept waving his hands in my face.

"Oh um, sorry." I said while blushing a tiny bit and looking away. "That's ok." He stood up and held his hand again and this time I took it.

*Jerome's POV*

He didn't respond for a couple of seconds so I started waving my hands in his face.

"Oh um, sorry." He said as he looked away.

"That's ok." I responded as I stood up and held my hand out again.

This time he took it without zoning off into his dream land.

"So I'm guessing you're Mitch right?"

"How do you know my name?" His eyes shown with shock. "Well, the teacher gave us a paper with everyone's names on it and you're the only one that's name hasn't been checked off yet."

"Oh, ya..." Mitch said as he looked straight ahead, going towards the teacher.

I sighed and went to my seat.

Maybe this year I'll have a crush on that guy named Mitch.
