(Your name) kept walking, not exactly walking to any particular place. He now had the hassle of needing to make money. What was he going to do? Maybe he could work in a small shop.(Your name) saw something from the corner of his eye, seeing a poster pasted on a brick wall. It advertised the underground fights he had heard of, where benders would defeat other elemental bender opponents for money. Maybe he could participate in those...
(Your Name) shook his head, he was NOT going to risk his life just because of there being more money in that job... And because of him trying to prove his masculinity.
He needed work, and fast, or he'd end up living on the streets... again. And that was not what the son of Yakone should be doing. It was below the level of 'peasants' his father would say.
So ( your name) walked, not that he knew exactly where he was going anyway, but none the less he walked on. Past the tall tower near the outer wall of Ba Sing Se stood several buildings and stalls. Of course ( your name ) hadn't even tried to enter the other walls, the Agrarian Zone or the Inner City Zone, as to what Zone you are in is based on your status. Since he was a 'peasant', he had to travel in between the second and third wall. ( Your name ) could travel into the inner city of course, but with nothing on him except the clothes on his back, they ( the security ) wouldn't let him in.
( Your name ) saw the citizens of the outer wall, all of which were practically wearing rags for garments, that were different variants of green and brown. Patches that had to be resowed were littered over the clothes of each person that walked by him. A woman wearing a dark green patched shirt and skirt with a brown ragged cloth tied around her middle was washing her clothes near the edge of the street. She was obviously very poor and quite pregnant too, but nobody took a second glance at the woman and simply went on with their own business. ( Your name ) growled slightly to himself and stopped. It was a ridiculous idea to separate the citizens between three areas depending on their social status. It meant that it was quite rare that any citizens from the lower rings ever move up.
Despite ( your name ) telling himself 'no', he couldn't help but feel sorry for the woman who was obviously tired and weak from a hard day of labouring in the sun. ( Your name ) strode over, towards the woman, and lightly pushed the woman's hands away from the clothes, as she dropped them back into the bucket of water due to her sudden fright at the appearance of the man. (Your name) turned and looked at the woman, as he leant over into the wash basin.
"Go and sit down you silly woman! Your obviously tired, and the heat obviously is not helping. Now sit there." (Your name)'s hand indicating towards a couple of crates. "Yes, that's it. Here, you can borrow my water pouch." (Your name) undid the restraints of the water poach from the side of his belt and handed it to the shocked woman. (Your name) quickly turned back around, feeling heat coursing through his veins as he picked up the washing board and started to wash the woman's clothes, occasionally stopping to rinse the clothes and place them into a pile beside the washing basin. (Your name) shifted from one foot to another, trying his hardest not to turn around and look at the woman, who sat staring in disbelief.
