Haha my chapter names don't even make sense!

"This cannot be! Why would Paladins land on our territory in such a weakened state?!" The judge yelled in disbelief.

"But," one of the aliens spoke up, "that would explain the armor and their high tech weapons."

"Our bayards?" Lance questioned, realizing that neither him, nor Keith had theirs. The crowds commotion only seemed to become more of a riot. "Please let us go back to our Lions. We need to meet up with the others.

"I'm afraid that won't be happening." The judge said, sounding almost... scared.

"Why not?!" Keith yelled. The whole room was arguing against each other.

The judge gave the paladins a horrifying look, one of a monster. "You are not the Paladins. It's impossible." The judge lowered himself to the ground. "Send them to the Hawchet!" He yelled and walked out of the now deafening courtroom. Guards grabbed onto Keith's arms and dragged him out of the courtroom, Lance behind him.

'The judge was insane! Why wouldn't he listen?!' Keith thought angrily. He pounded his fists against the cell wall. In half a varga (1/2 hour) he and Lance would be up against a Hawchet?! What even was a Hawchet? It didn't matter to Keith though. Until then, Keith and Lance were locked up in a cell together.

"Are we gonna be okay?" Lance asked. Keith looked up at his fellow paladin and crawled closer to him. Keith leaned his head in the crook of Lance's neck.

"I- I don't know. But if we try, maybe we can pull through." Keith said, desperately trying to motivate Lance without trying to sound too confident. Lance smiled and rested his head on Keith's. The two sat in silence until a guard opened their cell's door.

"The Hawchet awaits for its next meal." Keith stood up and helped Lance to his feet. 'These people are just like the Galra, whether they accept it or not.' Keith thought as he gingerly followed the guard.

(Time skip cuz I'm lazy af)

The arena was a circular shape and, like the court room, neon purple. 'Soooo original.' Keith thought.  In the centre was a giant metal cage. Neither Keith or Lance could see inside, but they could take a pretty good guess. The Hawchet.

Keith and Lance each were equiped with nothing but a sword. Keith felt a little better about facing the Hawchet, however Lance was not pleased. "I can't fight properly like this?!" Lance complained.

Keith looked over at the sentry guarding the arena doorway. Keith swung his sword at the sentry and sliced it in half. "Take this." Keith threw the gun at Lance who caught it with ease.

"Now this is more like it." Lance pulled a couple of shooting poses, which lightened Keith's mood.

A screech was heard and the boys stopped in their tracks. They turned to see the cage slowly lift to reveal the Hawchet. It was huge, both in height and sideways. The scales were a deep yellow that was about the size of Keith's head. It had 4 long arms each equiped with spikes. It had a monstrous sized jaw that fit at least 100 teeth.

Keith was starting to shiver, but as he looked over at Lance he could see him visibly shaking. "We're fucked."
