Robin leant on the wall of the kitchen in he and Amir's apartment speaking on the phone.
"Basically I can't get your money back." Robin said.
Santiago sighed and said "Are you disappointed?"
"In myself, for falling for a scam and wasting your money." Robin said.
"Don't blame yourself Robin, you didn't know even the best get tricked." Santiago said.
"You were an old, desperate, lonely man. I'm-I'm emphatic, aristocratic, dramatic, charismatic, clever, youthful, beautiful, vivacious and a well-rounded bad bitch. This doesn't happen to people like me. This happens to those...pedestrians I worked with at McDonald's." Robin said.
"You're very mean, I noticed." Santiago said.
"Physical violence and insults is how I show love dad." Robin said.
"Are Amir and my grandchildren good?" Santiago said.
"The kids are great. This was a setback, Amir...isn't acting like I thought he would be isn't angry or sad he's acting like, well normal." Robin said.
"He's holding it in Robin." Santiago said.
"I know how he is, it's either gonna come out on me out of the clear blue sky or he's scheming something. Or maybe he's putting up a front for everyone, he was devastated that day." Robin said putting his hand over his forehead.
"What's the problem exactly?" Santiago said.
"Whew! Ok! Basically Amir made it too good, he said something about too much code. A technician called and said he should have made the app more simple. Bugs attacked his code and that's why it crashed." Robin said.
"Is there anything he can do?" Santiago said.
"I don't know, I tried asking and he said I don't need to worry about it. Between that and his boss working the hell out of him and everyone else there he has no time to work on it when he is home he's sleep. What really scares me is he owes that investor lady almost $400,000." Robin said.
"As smart as he is, he should get it together soon enough. And If you need any money just tell me Santiago said.
Robin sighed and said "I hope it doesn't have to come to that."
In Amir's workplace he sat at his desk, typing between his phone and computer. On both screens was his app Audition.
A young woman tapped Amir's desk and said "Amir? Amir!"
Amir jolted and deftly changed the page on computer to his original work page and closed out his phone.
"Yes, Adina?" Amir said.
"Mr.Carr wanted to know how far along are you with the market research for Greene's farm's?" Adina said.
"Uh, st-still not finished yet Adina it will be done by Wednesday." Amir smiled, looking away from Adina's eyes.
Adina furrowed her brows and shook her head "Wed? No. Amir it's this Saturday remember the meeting you slept halfway through?"
Amir leaned forward and snarled "No. No! I heard them specifically say it was due Wednesday!"
"No. What you heard was the financial reports were due Wednesday that has nothing to due with us." Adina said.
Amir's jaw dropped and he said "Are you deadass serious with me?"
"That's what Mr.Carr said from his mouth. You didn't start it?" Adina said.
"No I did. I just thought I had more time to relax." Amir said.
